So no Jeffo and Kentfield for the first few games at least you’d imagine.

Mihocek and JVR should be wrapped in cotten wool

Would think Heath would play against Saints and gives Max cover and another tall forward.

That is the burning question old Dee, shades of ‘22-23.

Wash your mouth out!

Don't you know 426 is where this tall forward curse all began!?

Oh God no! I don't think I could take that. That is definate a pull the dohna over my head and forget football stuff.

Gee this kid is so unlucky, he gets picked up in mid season draft then 6 months later he cannot do preason because he is in hospital with a bad viral lung infection. 12 months rolls around and on top of his game and looking a first season game in the senior side and goes down with a serious knee injury 3 minutes into a practise game after marking in front of goal. Hang loss Batman.

Did he have the scans done in Ballarat? If so, and from my experience of the health system here, we might not have results till Friday

If you put some pressure on you can get results back by tuesday, but they might be someone else's hip replacement scans.

How did you get Bryce Gibbs' scans?

Returning to the topic for a moment, is anyone else feeling conflicted because of a deep relief about no apparent concussion, but real bitterness about a kid on the cusp of making AFL grade being pranged out at the very last obstacle?

Batman will rise again!

At first glance I though this was a microphone, triggering wishful thinking regarding <insert 'preferred' commentator/interviewer>.

Then I saw the light.

I suspect that whenever it is done it will be through a private provider, in which case any professional provider and sporting organisation should communicate within hours.

I am sure it is BT's microphone, and his X-ray. That is where his comments usually come from.

I really hope you didn't

The usual soft free kicks to TWSNBN as always against St kilda.

And why is no umpire saying STAND to both Teams in today's game. Yet MFC copped it all day from maggots

I am hoping for just bruising and available round one.

Well I can hope.

Quite the winning* catch, then!

*Wincing, even?

Could we field a player with similar body shape and attributes and hide his face under a mask for Round 1?

I have fingers crossed for Luker so Batmania can become Melbourne again.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
