Farewell Clayton Oliver

Nice mature response from you. I’d love you to tell me though, why you think most Melbourne supporters care what Clayton Oliver thinks anymore?

I never said that. You’re the one saying “most Melbourne supporters.” Go back and read your own post.

My response was sufficiently mature. I mean, I could’ve said, “Why are you arguing with yourself, bruh?” Now that would be immature.

You were bemoaning the fact that “nobody” was talking about how Oliver speaks highly of his time at Melbourne. I’m telling you “nobody” (or rather, few people) are talking about that because they simply do not care what he thinks.

I give several tosses about all Dees going around at other clubs.

Sure, but do you care what they think about Melbourne? I still follow what Jeremy Howe gets up to but I don’t care what he thinks about the dees.

I just want to point out that Clayton in his first interview about being at GWS said he’s ‘so grateful to the giants’

(I’m stirring and joking, don’t take it seriously)

You’re kidding, right? Then how do you explain all the b!ttchhing and moaning about Clarrie not thanking us (publicly) and not saying nice things about our club.

Oh, there’s tosses being given.

Oliver BOG@

Apart from one goal appeared BOG ordinary.

How many times did Clarry give a post game interview with us?

Fantastic today. It is a long season however and it's not like we haven't seen this before like in Rd 1 2024 when he came back with that stellar performance against the dogs. One swallow doesn't make a summer.

Howe is a [censored] of the nth degree

Get ur glasses of deekhead

Well done Clayton. Very close to being lost from the game. Simple country lad who got a bit lost...or at least that's how I've always seen it

And good to see he's still incredibly eloquent when interviewed

Well done by the boys and now I look forward to XT and Trelly becoming Dees favourites. Then adding another with the Suns’ pick later this year.

We move on.

Clarry was not close to BOG. He had it 27 times (if he did that in 2021-23 wed be wondering what he was carrying) for a grand total of 270m gained. He'll cover Tom Green's contested possessions but not much else

Did you watch the game??

Nothing they would think would come anywhere near some of the diabolical things I've thought about the Dees over the years.

Haha yeah nah Pickett..

You have got your bias lense on with this one once again.

He played the stock standard 2024-2025 Oliver game of 17 handballs and just the 9 kicks to go along with just the 274 metres gain meaning he he barely drove his legs to burst out of stoppages or get on the outside for transition.

According to AFL ratings was the 5th rated Giants so not even close to BOG.

The game has moved past contest and all about transitioning and ball movement. Saw none of that. The long bombs to contest was still there so nothing has changed.

At least we saw a completely different Petracca the other night being so dynamic where as Oliver just did his normal thing which in all honesty he didnt hurt the opposition that much.

most of his possessions were getting it from out of a pack into the clear. It might only be 10 m, but it's a pretty important 10 m. I'm completely with picket fence on this. It's very upsetting to see you.

Its so sad when so called supporters refuse to admit the merit of Clarrys excellent first up game. Given that he has never played with these boys before it was a pretty good effort from him. I really dislike the HATE some posters are displaying towards Clarry. l Their long term memories are just not functioning well.

So he's not a supporter just because he said that Oliver wasn't BOG for a side that we don't even support? Lol

There was literally no hate in his post at all. Believe it or not, our club doesn't revolve around one player who isn't even with us anymore.

Most of us do, especially those who understand the bigger picture

The Demons are back on the road again for the third time this season when they take on the red hot ladder leaders the Sydney Swans at the SCG. Can the Demons take another big scalp? Who comes in and who goes out?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
