Difficult one. Many were good, but many came in and out of the game or had some very visible clangers.

Ruckman are over rated.

We have so called best of our generation

Yet we lose every week

Everyone gives him best on

Taps to no one

Handballs to no one

Sits behind ball and takes great marks, yet generates no real forward momentum..

Will be 8 x all Australian and we have been ok for maybe 3 x those years.

He is lauded for great leadership, but we are clearly a far from united group bar 2021.

That's literally the worst take I've ever seen on this site and that's saying something.

Our side was pox for most of Robbie Flower's career. Does that make him not much good?

Get a grip. We'd probably be lucky to have four wins on the board this year if it wasn't for Gawn.

6 Oliver - welcome back!

5 Langford - gun gun gun

4 Fritsch - welcome back!

3 Gawn - Mr Reliable

2 Bowey - great season

1 Rivers

Least when Robbie got the ball he did something with it.

I just feel we are not getting best out of Max's dominance.

Ie.

His 2 weaknesses are kicking and hanballing.

Yet we never get runners for handball receive after mark and we always seem to be hanballing to max under pressure.

Other teams don't do this

6 - Max Gawn

5 - Christian Salem

4 - Clayton Oliver just kept getting better

3 - Harvey Langford

2 - Jake Bowey brilliant year

1 - Bailey Fritsch

Then Tracc, JV, Mayzie and Trent Rivers, gave the Filth a real fright tonight and with a bit more composure could have nailed them.

6 - Max Gawn

5 - Christian Petracca

4 - Clayton Oliver just kept getting better

3 - Harvey Langford

2 - Christian Salem

1 - Jake Bowey

give me gawn's years over flower's

comparing the success that one player has brought to the side is meaningless

6 Gawn - our everywhere man.

5 Salem - immaculate disposals.

4 Oliver - gave his all.

3 Petracca - but oh, that kicking!

2 Langford - constantly improving.

1 Bowey - tidy as usual.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
