Have King and Cam Bruce crossed paths coaching-wise?

Saw Cam on post game for Brissie.

A candidate?

Bruce was approached regarding the head coach vacancy and declined the process.

Interesting choice given that Casey's success seemed to be predominantly due to the performances of the older players.

We really didn't see much development from the likes of Laurie, Howes, Woewodin, Adams and Jefferson at Casey this year, to say nothing of Brown, Sestan and Verrall being delisted.

Dont love it.

Would have preferred someone externally with a good amount of AFL playing and coaching experience.

New voice would have been handy.

Casey coach Whitford has been promoted to the development role vacated by Choco

Strange decision until it isnt. People more than me have made this appointment but it will be questioned in the media spotlight no doubt. Assuming King had a say too?

Someone who's good at the job would be handier.

Let’s say you’re the new coach of the MFC.

You get to pick your assistant coaches

What team are you building around you?

Well I'm happy to be approached as Goal Kicking coach😇

Ah Demonland. Where you write people off in their first day on the job.

Fair to say that we did see some genuine development of some young players at Casey this year. Culley, Adams, Kentfield all seemed to improve over the course of the season.

Great appointment! Taylor is professional, he commands respect and he communicates really well with the players. And it should please some folks on here to know that he’s not afraid to give a spray.

With big changes in personnel it’s important for the players to have some familiar faces around, if possible. Cub (yes, that’s his nickname) works well with Selwyn, too

I think he’ll nail this!

nah, it's in the eating!

Always felt this expression falls short. For me, how my GIT system processes the pudding is equally important.

Anything can taste good, I just dont want to spend the next 4 hours with the runs.

Guess 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating and sh!tting" doesn't sound as nice.

Strange decision.

I'm wondering if he comes cheaply, knows the younger guys already through the Casey system and enables us to spend the soft cap more wisely on assistant coaches and this defacto head of footy role above Richo.

Though I'm not saying the development role isn't vital, but it could well be a one year deal or a shorter term deal. I wonder if Lord Nev will become available soon.

If he is going to succeed he is going to need some talent to develop.

Yep, having someone new for the sake of having someone new isn’t wise. Taylor isn’t new to the Dees but he’s very good at his job and now he’s been promoted, deservedly so.

He got Casey into the finals .

He knows something.

So does the MFC

You tend to make these kinds of comments a lot and time them so they get the reactions but never add anything of substance to the discussion and put others down for simply having an opinion. I've seen it multiple times now.

. I know this won't be popular as this place is popularity driven rather than merit but if you don't like others opinions then don't read.
