NON-MFC: Round 20

Gee would love to know the spray Kingsley gave that team at half time because it clearly worked.

Goes to show you can still do it.

Papley proceeded to record 3 touches in said half 😁

He can do some stupid stuff Toby but that makes me laugh.

Just seen Toby’s hit on Heeney, looks terrible from the angle I’ve seen. Deliberate, ball not in-play, just a crude cowardly hit on a defenseless person on the ground - probably get away with no weeks???

No weeks imo. not much severity in it

The dogs have only beaten 1 x top 8 side and confirms the fixture by the afl is flawed as it’s possible they may play finals due to flogging bottom teams twice with % boosters.

india have been pathetic - england going at over 100 runs a session

england plays like 30 tests a year most of them at home, does nothing away from the uk. empty stats to me ie cripps neale

I have a family connection with Toby. When he first started out at GWS he was on crutches and his mate got in a fight at a nightclub. He hopped in and started whacking the other bloke with his crutches

It's like the Moore incident. Moore went in & dug the knees, Toby went in with the arm & I know being the head it's dangerous but if Moore got off then so should Greene.

But watch Toby get a fine

flat pitches, tiny boundaries, tired oppo bowlers

Hogan quietish - perhaps out of respect for the passing of his adopted brother, the Hulk.

He was great I recon. Every time he goes near the ball - something happens. Sometimes a two goal game can be more important to the team than a five goal one.

Beginning to worry Grundy might take Gawns AA spot

his last 6 weeks has been excellent

Grundy won the AFs last night - 20 points clear of the player in second place. Yet he had virtually no influence on the game. My mad Filth mate said he could only remember one game he played for them when he changed the course of the game. My response, I can remember six games Max played in a 10 week period through 2021 that delivered a premiership. My Filth mate nodded sagely.

[Postscript - yet another instance where stats seek to deceive. Not you @DubDee , but a point some 'Landers would do well to concede.]

Gotta love GWS…

Bloody hell, GWS ey! They should really pick more fights as they play their best when things get aggressive on field

Still on GWS… last night they had a blank banner. This was a dig at Sydney who complained about their banner when they played earlier this season. The Swans said GWS had crossed the line…

Toby will probably get a week as it’s intentional, high contact, low force. Maynard does what Toby did 5x a game. He tackles players and then sticks his forearm on their head and pushes down and mouths off. Maynard example from last week didn’t take long to find, wasn’t a free, and not a single comment from any commentator about how pathetic it is.

Your observation is correct. Grundy the 14th highest rated player on the ground according to Wheeloratings. Game rating of 10.6. Callaghan was best with 21.7 and there were three swans (Mills 19.5, Warner 17.6 and Hayward 13.0) ahead of him and a plethora of Giants. It was another typical Grundy game where he gets a bit of it and not much actually happens as a result. As long as Buckley and Cornes are AA selectors, Gawn is getting in ahead of Grundy every day of the week.

Hate it, hate, hate it. Zac Bailey drops his knees to "earn" a free kick for head high contact. Misses the goal fortunately.

Take your point. Stats can absolutely deceive and Grundy is one that pads his stats with useless hit outs.

However, I still think he’s had a very good season. He is 8th in the Coaches award. Ahead of Gawn and Xerri

They’ll never admit it but AFL HQ must be horrified, and panicked. The season has been over for literally half the competition for months, and the fixture couldn’t have been more poorly designed. Thursday night in particular has had 8 weeks of games that have been over at half time.

This season is a stinker, and I’m genuinely surprised it’s not been a much bigger story.

Vlandy has just had a crack at the AFL.

The NRL seems to be surpassing AFL viewership now.

Our game has never been in better health hey?

India have gone too far with their spinning pitches at home.

Other than Bumrah their pace attack is pedestrian.

With a billion people, over 40 States in their domestic comp and varying weather conditions you'd think they would have some up and coming pace bowlers

well, they have the greatest quick the game has seen in the last few years; bumrah looks absolutely knackered at the moment tho

akash deep and mo siraj both bowled better without him in the side

they're really missing mohammad shami

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
