Who have we got since Langdon that has been successful, I can’t recall any?

Agree wholeheartedly 'Red'

I am terrified of what the Pies will do to us on KB. I haven’t been able to watch them play since that terrible violent act by that thug against Gus.

I am in the unfortunate situation being married to a passionate Pies supporter who will expect me to either go to the game with him or watch it together on the TV.

Like you I can't even watch the filth on TV, let alone go to any of their matches.

AJ suspended. That’s two suspensions in, what, 5 games? I get that aggression is his thing, but if he can’t control it then it’s useless to us, and therefore so is he.

JVR replaces him. I don’t care that Jefferson kicked more goals in the VFL, JVR’s the better prospect and can take AJ’s ruck minutes.

Sharp to be dropped for Viney if fit. If Viney not fit, find someone else to take Sharp’s spot. Give Laurie at least one full game before we drop him (likely for the final time, tbh).

Lever needs to find form pretty soon. We can’t keep TMac in the VFL in the form he was in if Lever isn’t playing just as well.

Why play Laurie if we are going to drop him for the final time?? I've seen enough of him to know he won't make it!

I think it’s time that Windsor learns his backman trade at Casey , or he gets moved to the wing, because he has little idea how to play his current role. Personally I’d have him on the wing.

Time for Sestan to take over his role in the backline. He has consistently performed in the role at Casey and his kicking is exceptional - time to see what he’s made of.

I personally also think he won’t make it but it’s poor list management and leadership from the FD to never give him the chance to prove us wrong.

5-6 weeks ago TMac was leading a couple of defensive stats across the league. Can’t remember which ones as I’m not big on stats. Two weeks later he was dropped for Lever. Last week Disco was ranked the no.1 defender for the last five weeks. Regardless I’d play him forward as he can take a contested mark and is a reasonable set shot for goal.

I hope Melksham is ok.

AJ out for obvious reasons and he can't kick.

Laurie out. Not out best sub choice.

Lever out because that's two games now back with zero influence.

Ins..Jvr... some guy in the seconds and maybe a mate of mine down the street.

And maybe some goal kicking practice until their feet hurt.

Sounds OK 🧀🍷👍

People are going to freak out but we missed Spargo yesterday. Sharp is a sub and no more. May and Lever are at the end, yes May’s game got better after quarter time but he moves like an 80 year old. Smart by Ross to drag Windsor deep, I bet you even he didn’t think they’ll get 3 cheap goals out of it. That rushed kick for goal by Koz is really inexcusable for an AFL player. We weren’t set up and they went coast to coast with ease. I thought Marshall was excellent. If we’re loading then I find that ridiculous. AJ actually had a pretty good game but he’s going to get suspended again.

Honestly can’t see us getting within 6 goals of the Pies.

Out : Lever, Laurie, AJ (susp)

In : TMac, Viney, JVR

but really - just as long as Lever has spell at Casey

Lever was terrible at AFL level, TMac was terrible at VFL level. Wrong lever to pull.

Out: Johnson, Laurie, Sharp, Langford

In: TMac, Viney, Billings, Culley

Turner must play in the forward line, Windsor on the wing ffs

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
