Don't want to hear anyone ever again question the selection of Melksham. He changes the whole team for the better and is almost single-handedly holding the forward line together.

Who’s more of a [censored] Kane corns or Will Schofield?

The bias of Will is so gross. Emotionally banging on about Melks mark “being weeks”

Bo Allan shows literally zero eyes for the ball full swinging arm into Viney and we hear crickets from the cockroach

Is there any chance we can occasionally look for a the odd 45 instead of playing skinny off HB almost always.

Just a few times to mix it up and take them on through the middle.

I know we're playing it safe and using Max down the line etc but crikey. So predictable.

Great 3rd quarter, controlled the footy and scored from transition.

Please keep this up on the 4th Dees.

Windsor, Turner, Melk stood up big time.

He's the only one that assesses and doesn't just automatically roll out and play on, then kick blindly to the hot zone or worse, just an empty paddock or to the line where it's easily knocked over

Masterclass from the captain

Pavlich has no bloody idea, he is so biased towards the WA teams, absolutely atrocious.

He knows which side his bread is buttered, that's for sure.

What the heck is that commentator still going on about with the Melksham, McGovern thing, but not a word about the head high hit to Viney?

Relax everyone, we’re gonna smoke these dorks in the second half. Albo 2025 election style.

(Eagles = Dutton).

Called it.

I’m the Antony Green of Demonland tonight. We’re also gonna bust the q4 malarkey tonight, too.

Gonna bring this home in a romp.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.
