The six day turnaround is a test for players and fitness staff, but does the AFL understand how hard it can be washing and drying a pair of lucky Demons socks with such a short break between games?

Five day turnaround.

Surprised we’re at $1.31 on sportsbet, shorter than I’m comfortable with but punters must have some faith in us.

Almost as short as the Pies vs Bombers tomorrow. Hopefully the cash is king tonight.

Still on the tram … glad I missed that. I’m actually frustrated by this soccer ball training !!!

Strewth I don’t think the ANZACs fought for Hugh Sheridan to butcher Bridge Over Troubled Waters 😂

It was a very good drying day today

Anyone else flick over to 7 and just get static and blips and boops?

I mean, pre-game it is a better broadcast than usual, but I would actually like to see the game when it starts.

I think the best course of action is to get as enraged at this as possible.

Max then Kossie down to the rooms with 5 minutes to go? I hope that’s just a [censored] break!

Come on Demons, Come on Demons

How many times have teams played each other when both captains are ruckman?

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
