Henderson is [censored]. Tholstrup straight in next week for him if match fit.

Where is Oliver?

Relax everyone

we’re winning the inside 50’s

not sure how long i can keep watching this dribble

Have to feel for Tom McDonald. An entire career playing dour defensive roles in garbage teams, with 3 good years of football in the middle there. At least he got that flag.

And of course casey have a bye this week so Kolt can't build match fitness.

Find a [censored] man and stop this chip, chip [censored].

What does Henderson offer to this team?

Yes, turning it over

He has in the past but tonight he hasn’t.

He has coached out every ounce of contest & defence, it’s amateurish what he’s done! I don’t blame Trac if he says I want out we are deplorable ..Green do the right thing as president or club is about to enter 2012 Neeld era

Just glad we sent the strongest possible message by backing everyone in. Goody and Happy Clapper master class.

We have a small forward line, but a small forward line with Melksham and Fritsch means it isn't really going to be locking the ball in there.

Setterfield is killing it right now. Playing Oliver tight at stoppages and then breaks away immediately. He has 11 touches to Oliver's 6

Yeah, nothing makes you work harder at your job than knowing your position is safe no matter how poorly you perform. 🤮

Go away Filth Person…

i'm a perceptive supporter not a 'die hard' because why would i die hard when they persisted with Goodwin when it was clear that he was not allowing the best of our players. we recruited Nate Jones of all people to coach, with no coaching credentials, purely on sentiment, and we arguably did the same with Brad Green.
When we had Roffey who was a great President because she offered something different. Green and Jones are Fanboys and they are not football intellects wide-armed person people (as Roffey was).

I don't wish to pile [censored] on Melbourne, but I'm trying to have a perceptive and critical discussion about it.

Unfortunately for you I have developed a soft spot for Collingwood because even though many of they're supporters are horrible, the club has a spirit that wouldn't allow pure sentiment to cloud their vision for their prosperity and the welfare of the players.

That being said, my line of reasoning is much more caring to our players than supporters who just say "great we have Nate Jones coaching and Goodwin still there, fantastic!" without seeing how catastrophic this has been for the welfare and prosperity of kids like Petracca and the younger echelon of Rivers etc. who are trying to live full and unhindered footballing careers

You Go Away, youve probably got no guts to stand up for what this club needs.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
