    I thought his body language after the match was generally consistent with his usual emotional-self, and didn’t see anything “performative” about it at all.

    Do we really have to analyse and try to “read in” to why a guy who’s worked like a mofo to get through a potentially career/life-ending incident, might be [censored] off to find himself in the middle of a rabble at the end of it all?

    And for what it’s worth, Jordan Lewis is getting absolutely roasted on social media (by non-MFC supporters, mind you) for his negative comments about Trac showing that kind of emotion.

    I dare say that was the way. Premium players have shown a great tenacity and scoring rate in the ability to drive their destiny and get to their preferred destination. Just an observation

    Reckon both are pretty ordinary. Oliver looks like he's just going through the motions, Petracca looks like he's genuinely miserable to be playing here. Wonder what the young players are thinking seeing a senior player carry on like that.

    This is popping into multiple sports these days.
    Players seemingly have more comradery these days and have a joke after a game (apart from Mac Andrew aha), doesnt always sit well with older players or fans.

    Does he? Surely the club has the power, since he signed a lengthy contract with us. Otherwise, he would already be gone. Add to this that he has an inexperienced player agent when it comes to contracts. Yes I know she could get registration by October but my understanding her experience is more with corporate contracts and brand building, rather than negotiating with clubs.

    Tracc did not show any tenacity last trading period, and I think it made him look less appealing to other clubs.

    Great, I'm now firmly in the camp of trading both these guys but Oliver most importantly. I'd take a highish first round pick and they pay the bulk of his salary. We need the picks and we just don't need the attention. I'd want a top 10 pick for Petracca and all his salary. You can want more but the reality is these guys are nearing 30, one comes with significant baggage and the other likely doesn't want to do the hard work required to lift this club back to the top. Pickett I say he has to stay at least one more year and then we'll talk. Get 2 more highish picks into taylor's hands, a new coach and a assistants and a strong CEO and board and I'm of the belief this list will flourish. Get a new coach in the mould of Kent Kingsley. I just can't imagine he would tolerate the rubbish we've put up with. I love love but listening to my coach talk this dribble must make the Harvey Langford's of the team think WTF!

    The biggest issues with Oliver are due to his lack of pace.

    As a result, his defensive game has declined. He is now averaging 4.0 tackles per game and 22 pressure acts, which is 2 fewer tackles and 5 fewer pressure acts per game. (The tackling stats may be partly due to his hand injury.)

    Offensively, his possessions are back near to his 2021-2023 peak this season, but metres gained is 315 versus 423-453 in those seasons. He has never been a great kick, but he was getting a lot more penetration 2 years ago.

    This season he has a Wheelo Player rating of 10.43, which is 149 in the AFL. If we can get off his contract without paying any salary, I would be in favour of a trade.
