If he stays, let's hope so. Otherwise we may have a uninterested player who doesn't mind if his trade value goes down in a year since a trade would be easier as a result. It's all very well to talk about professionalism ensuring maximum effort at all times, but there is always an element of something more around committment and passion.

Club needs to stay firm & dictate terms, not the other way around and say no and hold him to his contract! About time these players honour what they sign!
