Don't we still understand it's about the game...not the players as such.

We have many a good player... but a rubbish game.

Jackson isn't the difference nor the remedy to a problem.

That lays elsewhere

It will cost us a lot and I don't think he's that good.

He is a premiership second ruck who was very much involved with BANG BANG BANG

Sure. Straight swap for Philthorpe. Why wait for seasons’ end. This week will be do.

straight swap, player for player

first time since mitch clark - heritier lumumba - travis varcoe?

That’s a loss for us. Kozzy’s worth more than a straight swap with Jacko

That's just not true. Jackson, as ruck/kpp, contracted for two years longer on top of that (maybe even more with an automatic trigger) is easily worth more than Kozzy. We would have to send away Kozzy AND extra on top of that if we wanted Jackson back. Dockers have no other ruck with Darcy always injured. There's zero chance they do a straight swap.

I'd honestly rather keep Kozzy and try again for Jackson in a few years if he's still keen.

Fascinating story brewing.

I was never a huge fan of Jackson because his impacts were so fleeting, not often he influenced games for longer than a wild cameo.

Over the journey, I have felt Kozzie has been similar. Just wished he would get more involved for longer - despite only needing 3-4 touches to be a match winner.

The Fremantle game was something else, Kozzie made everyone on the ground look like they were in slow motion. I changed my view during that game and think Kozzie has every right to be considered in the top 5-10 players in the comp at his best.

I’d take Jackson back and possibly in a straight swap because he’s a known quantity and should have even greater impact with our changing game style.

Heart says Kozzie is worth significantly more but it’s potentially a decent outcome on the back of losing a generational talent like Koz - if it eventuates, of course

We lost Jackson and got pick 13 off Fremantle for him, that ended up being Matt Jefferson, the draft is a gamble, I’d much rather a known quantity in Jackson than the lottery of the draft if we lose Pickett. Jackson will be All Australian calibre once given the number one ruck role, hasn’t been given the chance to show what he’s got at Fremantle.

We got Windsor for the dog trade

Ok they can have Kossie if they give us Jackson and Murphy Reid as steak knife’s.

The Club loves Kozzie and Kozzie loves the Club, but recently there has been a growing recognition from many in the Club that Kozzie needs to be in WA.

Damn. What a pity.

I think he's very close to our most important player. With May, Oliver and Petracca not the players they were only a few years ago, he's just about our best player (behind Max) as well.

Buckley up folks.

Never heard of that Footy Show but it looks like they deliberately collected the most annoying attention grabbing fools (apologies to Nick)

Who would watch that dribble?

The problem is, this is so sporadic and usually occurs every 6 weeks. He needs consistency in his game and until that occurs, it’s all speculative IMO.

Agree completely

We need more capable foot soldiers so that we can afford to carry Koz

if this is true which i hope it is, that surely means fullerton and campbell are done and gone? still alot to play out tho

also does this solve our 2nd tall forward problem until max pulls the pin?

.

If this is not another red flag in the long list of red flags for players who want to run home to Freo, I don’t know what is.

Kosi should take note.

Stay Calm Chill Out GIF by Stan.

Fantastic news!!

We desperately need a 2nd ruck/fwd

He is one if the very few that compliments Gawn and then he can take over in a few years

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
