The difference is their HB transition. In response we move the ball slower to setup behind the ball. This plays more to their benefit.

We have to go as quickly as possible in HB just go for it.

Love how they flush just about every set shot & we absolutely butcher our chances time & time again.

Skill execution is still a major concern of ours. Don’t see how that changes any time soon.

Our forward line is always to crowded taking to long to decide what to do with the pill, need to play on instinct more...

Maybe they're focused on just the new game style because there looks like no oppo work has been done. Doing nothing to stop Freo's transition game.

I’ve just checked again

Its still a practice game

We are fine

just need some small forward magic

Back spasms in the first minute of the game.

Sounds like me from anxiety

Petracca 35 metrs out to goal running in and he handballs to a player slower than him and it’s a turnover.  What the ?  Go for goal. Overhandballing!!! Stop it now.

I’m pretty sure that Fritta was dealing with more than one injury for a large part of the season, and that could have accounted for his appearing disinterested.

Thanks for that. Perhaps you noticed these less than enthusiastic attempts as well.

It certainly would explain them.

Cheers HT.

Enjoy the rest of the game and do what I'm doing.

Curled up in a fetal position repeating ad nauseam.....it's only a practice game.

I've had to cut back on my bourbon to payo for kayo this year.

Just curious... we are there ??

How are the new boys going?

Lindsay ok but mostly defensive wing stuff

Harvey flashes but not quite there

AJ very solid workhorse, hoping for more

Sharp - messy

Adams - some decent stuff, can get caught flat footed in transition but having a go

Some forward … that’s enough. Tall or small !

Positives so far are Tracc’s selflessness and the Windsor thing will work if we can get him involved.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
