Hawks remind e of us in 2018 .. well played & young with dare, though jumping into the crowd at end of the game isn’t great…Not sure why the afl rewards interstate teams to play on their home ground but not Vic teams Dogs Marvel home ground which is 50k capacity same as interstate grounds..

We are seeing a game style that is yelling at me to forget our fixation with getting a big forward at any cost. It’s about quick, clever ball movement, midfielders with leg speed and smart, quick, small medium sized forwards, with a mobile tall or two to contest in the air. We look a mile off this pace.

I have to agree with this. All out speed.
Pity we got rid of Toby Bedford…

Hawthorn are playing exactly like Melbourne in 1987.
Anyone who hasn’t seen the ‘87 Elimination Final, look it up on YouTube

Watching Hoges tearing the comp apart is the textbook definition of bittersweet.

that goal umpire is a numpthy. always calling for reviews. The ball was no where near touched.

Numpty commentators thought it could’ve been touched twice!

Peatling knows how to draw a free

Would love to have Hogan back when he is in this type of form. He would fill a major void for us

Timing is everything I suppose.

Jesus Hogan has been good. I thought his career was nearly done 3-4 years ago.

Exactly the type of player we need.  He's really found his true self and form.

Could be the reason the Giants win a cup this year

lucky free to giants there. The giants player lowered the head when tackled. not sure what the swans player could do in that situation

This is what you call a final

I've been meaning to post this since Round Zero when – like many of you – I was at the SCG in the Supporters' Area.

I understand there is a service entry immediately behind the goals on the Randwick end of the ground, but why are the away supporters always beside the goals at the Paddington end. Surely an end with an obstruction is better than an inferior view that's not behind the goals? Is there any other ground in the AFL where the away team is not behind one of the goals?

I raise it today as the GWS supporters have been given the  priority spots behind the goals at the Paddington. Surely if it's good enough for the Finals, it should be good enough for the H&A season.

Thoughts?

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
