Cats 14th time in the last 18 years finished top 4 and missed finals twice! Haven’t bottomed out and traded in quality inc free agents! Enough said!

My whole interest in footy for the rest of this season is in hoping they go out in straight sets. Huge home ground advantage, if the rumours are half true they subvert the salary cap, and summer the most dislikeable people in the league.

This tigers v suns game is sub-standard

It's so bad.

Good to see Tigers at rock bottom though.

if you scroll through the stats in the suns tigers game you'd think the tigers would be ahead

but down by nearly 5 goals

Pick 5 could really be on still

GC should handle the Tigers today

And the Saints are in better form than the Blues

I hate that is now my focus for the season, but yep, definitely on.

Not sure what the Suns winning margin needs to be but live ladder right now has them above us.

And go Saints!

Pretty sure now we're at the stage where a Tigers goal and 15 or so point margin, gets GCS below us :/ LiveLadder

Gold Coast are going to do it, aren't they. [censored] the bed in the last quarter and slip back below us on percentage to screw us of a draft position, despite them having had more access to talent for less achievement than any sporting club in history [citation needed].

Gold Coast have won by enough to go above us on the ladder.

If the Saints win tomorrow, we'll end up in 14th spot = pick 5.  If not, it's 13th and pick 6.

thank goodness gc17 have pulled their finger out in the last 5 minutes

they really are a pathetic franchise

We did it. Pick 6 > Pick 7.

Now to death ride the Blues for Pick 5

Who finished above the MFC

Bring on the High Pressure Hoses

Clean the joint right out 😡

See ya Dusty. Absolute champion.

Should have the wooden spoon they've just won on show with the three cups.

With Josh battle probably leaving and saints getting a 1st round pick, we need the saints to win. It's worth 2 spots for us.

I love it! Thanks Suns. Go Saints!!

Suns had to leave the ground early to catch a flight home for the open top bus parade celebrating their 11 win season.

Hope tigers are patient with Yze … big exodus at their club both off & on the field as their history after a period of success 1982 saw dark times

they've achieved nothing in their entire existence when they have had gifts bestowed upon them from head office the likes of which they have squandered through their own ineptitude

i'll back us to finish above them in 2025

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
