Yes, this speculation has piqued my interest. Firstly Tracc is my favourite Demon, actually my favourite non-Blue footballer. Was saddened to hear of his issues with MFC and looking to leave ...

... then I hear Carlton talked about as possibly the primary destination ... now my interest levels are sky high ...

Don't really frequent Insta but I do take an interest in things culinary actually, dabble in the kitchen sometimes,  so maybe I should check out Tracc's handiwork, how is he with Asian cuisines, does he make Som Tum Pla Ra (love salted crabs)? 😁

Think Tracc might have to take a salary haircut if he really wants to catch the 19 Tram up Royal Parade though. I think Carlton could rustle up the money inside the cap but if there is a disparity with other Carlton stars that is a problem.

I'm curious you're a Carlton fan who likes to post on Demonland or what??

Is anyone on here going and if so why not!!

He's cancelled & replaced by may & Oliver. Which I don't thinks all that great. Oliver isn't the greatest speaker, but it will be interesting to hear how he plans to bounce back & may tends to go rogue

Post evidence.  You can't.  Sycophant to the likes of McClure and Morris.  Sad. Your username is apt.

You have people like Garry Lyon, Gary Pert, Simon Goodwin, Alan Richardson and now Kate Roffey having to front the media to hose speculation down. They are being asked questions and have not denied any of it, all they have basically said is that the club will hold him to his contract. Honestly do you think that would happen if there was no substance to any of this? The irony of your statement is probably lost on you, have a good one.

Absolutely nothing new from Kate Roffey’s interview on SEN. Just deflection and “consultant” like responses.

from my cousin who listened to it:

So Roffey hasn’t spoken to Trac for ages and there’s certainly no concrete plans for her and Pert to meet with him (pretty clear that Trac’s people aren’t interested). He’s so far gone.

Her performance was underwhelming! I could not imagine a president that in spite of all that is happened has had no contact with either Tracc or Family... Astounding really.

Unbelievable very poor & deflection, honestly rumours of Trac and she gives sweet nothing, nothing on his recovery in hospital … in denial she should resign and as AfL club is the best they can present to answer questions regarding all the issues and about our marquee player… absolutely a disgrace by her and needs to resign!

What!  How did you draw that conclusion.

The impression I got she didn't try, even when he was in ICU.  It doesn't take long to say:  We are concerned is their anything we can do.

It didn't sound like anyone else extended that thought either at the time it really mattered ie in the aftermath of the injury.

Well that's a relief

All Clubs have things to deal with all the time...nothing to see here  but if there was I would have spoken to the various players and families and no one has asked so I havnt...but I talk yo people all the time

Especially some nameless re signing player whose parents I did speak to and they love the Club and are really happy .

Geez   Kill me now

I’m surprised we haven’t heard a dicky bird from Kate Roffey.

There should be an AFL investigation as to why Trac was sent back on field with life threatening injuries!

A paramedic with no more than a stethoscope wouldn’t have allowed him on field. I can’t blame Trac or his family to be p*shed off with club.

If we don’t have full club independent review we will just go down to bottom of the ladder.

i have watched the Club for too long not to have my say.

He went back on the ground because Trac insisted he was fine.  If you're so confident a paramedic with a stethoscope could have diagnosed his condition, then how come it took the Alfred Hospital several hours and scans to not diagnose it until 3 am?

Thought she handled the interrogation with courage and aplomb. Did not deviate from the reality or the truth. Far more convincing than several AFL leaders. Get off her back charlatans! Support the club, don't be part of the problem!

'Hose down media speculation'.  A week or so ago the 'media' had Viney out the door. Prior to that Oliver was 100% gone. Club officials front the media. So what? The only naive one in this conversation is you.

Trac was in quarantine for 2 week after the surgery, no one was allowed to go near him. That was reported at the time by both Trac and the club.  If that's one of his beefs then he has a short memory. Or, more likely, more media made up BS.

The post I was responding to was Trac's family 'clearly not being interested'.  I was referrinng to her lack of contact with his family when he was in icu., not meaning she should have contacted him directly at that time.

I can see how it could have been read differently,

Is the club going to take the media to the courts then?

That's what I would be expecting if this is all a fabrication from the media. Or is the media operating with impunity and zero accountability?

It was an absolute disaster of an interview.

We are all not surprised one bit you gave it a standing ovation. You are just as part of the problem.

I thought she was excellent.  Handled Whately's producer written questions with aplomb. So Trac has a few issues. No probs. Talk them through, which they have,  and it is a certainty he will be in the red and blue in 2025 and beyond. Never any doubt.

Football media is now a circus. It's even worse in England. Believe less than 5% of what you read. 'Media operate without accountability '? Well I never!🤣

Not a response to this specific post but to all your posts in general on the troubles at the MFC.

That’s not quite true, we know he has told the club in exit meetings he wants to be traded, we know that his side is leaking to the media a lot of info. The problem for him is that whoever is handling this process doesn’t seem to  know what they are doing as there is no possible exit for him at the moment. No club has the salary space or the picks/player/s to satisfy us in a trade without Melbourne being totally screwed over. That hasn’t stopped him trying to burn the club to the ground with leaking to the media and tarnishing our reputation which effects our efforts to bring in other players to the club to ironically improve as he has mentioned he wants the club to do. I understand he may have grievances which is fair enough but what he is doing isn’t professional and is effecting his workplace that he will almost certainly remain in next year.

What has changed from my perspective as a member/supporter is how I see him and his management team, they come across ad totally amateur, childish, greedy and stupid.

Thats because he really has no genuine case to ask for a clearance with the reasons so far.

Yes not everything was smooth medically but the initial diagnosis couldn’t be obtained on field or even in the change rooms. He should have in hindsight not gone back on but he was part of the Fagan that did want to try to return. Perhaps not enough patient/ doctor communication assistance artist stage hampered things.

From there it was downhill as the Club and players MAY have not kept communication channels open enough. Alternatively I have no doubt it was an extremely challenging for his family also and very draining on all concerned.

Trac’s health is still not  returned so he can only do basic tasks towards a restart to health and training.

Nothing  to say of the mental side of this still ever present.

It is really too early for decisions/reactions IMO and the elephant in the room is Trac is clearly prioritising his off field practises in his “big Club” talk.

Very disappointing. After a decade of great times and super development for both him and our Club.

Hopefully there is enough time for a breath overwork and a middle ground can please everyone. Also that his health is still the main priority.

Get Well Trac. And all the best.

Bonkers you have made some very salient observations and are crucial with my points also.

Media in general is a circus.

The same in the Spanish speaking world, specially in Spain. Just got to see the way they treated FC Barcelona these last couple of years. But probably it hasn't come across the English speaking world.

And NBA or NFL, just have to watch some of the Fox or ESPN shows.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
