Morris reporting the board said no once they found out.

So did the board not know, then found out, then intervened?

Who else at the club isn’t in the know or on the same page?

You sound exactly like Morris!

Tom Morris, you bloody crab. Back in August, he also reported that Shai Bolton was gone from Richmond and would be requesting a trade. Two days later, he reports that “in a bizarre twist”, Bolton will be staying at Richmond. What an absolute ****truck of a guy.

Saints now have picks 7 and 8.

Would the Saints come for Oliver knowing that either those picks would get the deal done?

Weirdly, I’d be much more OK with Claz at the Saints. In fact I’d go so far as to say if he was a part of their first flag since ‘66, I’d actually be happy for the guy.

Clarry ain't going anywhere,Cats couldn't even afford him and give us suitable picks with Bailey Smith coming to the Cats.

This is all just BS by Morris and McClueless to fill rubbish articles.

I'll read this thread again on the last day of trade week and find surprise, surprise Clarry is and always was staying, you can all waste the next 3 weeks of your life on the pointless thread!!!

I said the above 3 days ago,you don't have to waste the next 3 weeks on this thread now!!!

if I was Tom Morris…

I’d get my teeth fixed and upgrade my wardrobe

I’d be more respectful of women across the entire spectrum

I’d suck up to my superiors (although this is sometimes difficult for a bloke like me ((Tom)) to acknowledge that I have superiors!)

I’d trawl through club sites to find chinks I can exploit

I’d make bold statements based on rumour and innuendo, but always insert an ‘out clause’ near the end of my report.

I’d never reveal my sources, even if they don’t exist!

I’d spend all my spare time ringing around to try and identify my next victim/exclusive/click/bait/hook/fake/controversy/… ( insert your own journalistic mumbo jumbo here….. )

I’d polish my smile and ramp up my smugness, then proceed to get in front of a camera and speak intensely about some poor soul whose vulnerability is not my concern!

Many stars have a different set of rules than their teammates. We are not alone here.

We suspended Steven May for drinking while in concussion protocols, while May and Melksham had to do community service after their punch-up. Don't think we're reluctant to apply penalties where necessary.

Perhaps in Oliver's case suspension and/or missing matches wasn't seen to be in anyone's best interest. He needs routine. Difficult to get the balance right.

Tom Morris is the LAST journalist anyone on our board or administration would ever talk to after his disastrous time at the club. Anything he says is either second hand or straight up made up. No credibility at all.

Well clearly that's not the case.

Does he actually want to leave? I'm not quite updated on this whole debacle.

Despite the War and Peace size thread, no one has any idea

Thank you, JCB. Great to see the English spelling of gaol. I’m fed up with American influence in everything.

With those skills, surely there’s a job for him on Trump’s team. Press secretary?

I don't care who is leaking to the media , they need to get kicked out asap, certain groups have a good way of dealing with people who open their mouths.

None of us know where this is coming from. There was a lot of info around what was going on with Geelong that only they could know. Today’s could have been Oliver’s management. etc etc

Gawn sounded pretty frustrated about the leaks. There is clearly an issue.

Agree.

Morrris didn’t drive Clarry down to Rhys Stanley’s farm to meet him and Tom Stewart and also to a meeting with Scott, Hocking and Danger.

THE HEAT IS ON by Meggs

FNQ will be hot and sultry this Thursday night when the mighty Demons take on the highflying Hawks at up there Cazalys Stadium in Cairns.   The Demons once again rebrand for Indigenous Round as ‘Narrm’, the Woi Wurrung name for Melbourne in the language of the traditional owners.   Narrm has surged back up the ladder and sits just outside the eight on percentage with 5 wins. Our opponents Hawthorn sit second with 8 wins and have been become really offensive.

Coming to Melbourne after seven years as a leading goal kicker at North Melbourne, Brown was well known for his unique, extremely long run up on set shots for goal. Unfortunately, the remainder of his time at the club was hampered by injury including the need to undergo knee surgery. He retired from playing football at the end of the season after 4

    AWESOME FOURSOME by Meggs

The rejuvenated Demons out tussled the Tigers by 13 points to make it four wins on the trot on Saturday which means that the slight possibility of a finals appearance remains alive in 2024. This is despite the AFLW handicapping the Demons against their peers yet again (more later). Lots to celebrate as it was Kids Day at Casey Fields and both teams ran onto the ground modelling their Pride jumpers.   Kate Hore won the toss and kicked to the Clyde end. Thankfully, the notorious Casey

Expect the Tigers to be fierce, but surely the Demons will be more fierce. Playing conditions are expected to be a dry 15 degrees with a typically gusty Cranbourne wind. THE TRADING CHRONICLES 03

Part 3: Happier Days by Whispering Jack It would be fair to say that when the Melbourne Football Club entered the free agency and trade period earlier this month, its reputation was flagging, if not in tatters. The club was taking a battering in the media and social media over a number of issues, some real and others imaginary and even fabricated, relating to the running of the club, team performance and its culture, a build up that’s been taking place for more than twelve months.
