He plays with physicality and reminds me a little of Tom Hawkins from the bits of vision I've seen of him. This is amazing !! Thanks for the info, is there anywhere we can view a list of upcoming academy listed prospects? 1 Quote

Get rid of the Zones, still have the academy's, all clubs put the same $$ and staff into them and all players are free game. Should purely be about getting these kids into the AFL and nothing else. Completely disagree. 1 Quote
The heart beats true 18,201 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Aside from the obvious frustration about Mac, I gotta say it’s really good to hear from those seeing the tangible benefits of these talent pathways. Its obviously a difficult story to tell from the clubs perspective, as they are trying to give the public the information they want about AFL players and plans. So when you don’t hear almost anything about them it’s hard to know if the plan is working as intended. It’s nice to hear it is. The AFL should never have changed the rules in the first place. They should be doing everything they can to encourage these pathways. 1 1 Quote
MrFreeze 2,055 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Increasing access to NGA picks in combination with the proposed reduction to 'points' for picks after the 2nd or 3rd round is a sensible change. It forces clubs to give up real currency to acquire these picks while still getting a sensible discount and priority preference. Quote
Rivers Run Red 187 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 To be fair, if we had of been allowed to match Mac we would've missed out on a young kid with the initials JVR. So worked out ok in my books. 5 Quote
