I know it makes you ill that a filth player will pass him. I'd say a concussion then at least that a week.

Trac was behind crisp as the next in line

Crisp has already surpassed Ooze who was second. For that alone I wish for a concussion.

That he’s a filth player is bad enough, that he’s also a slimy piece of [censored] just makes the whole thing harder to take.

Yep he'll never be the decent human that Jim was

Hilarious this week on First Crack, they will all have to wind in their Geelong is finished comments.

🎶 Oh the premiership’s a cakewalk 🎶

HUGE LOLZ 😂😂😂

Pies have the lions Swans away and Blues to come

 put a fork in them!

No roaming BT tonight

Crying BT takes its place

suck on a fat one commentators

Assuming 13 wins is the cut off to make finals, Collingwood have to go 4-2 from here to make it.

They have Hawthorn, Richmond, Carlton, Sydney, Brisbane and us.

If they can beat Hawthorn and Richmond, then find one win from their next three...they could well be playing in Round 24 for a finals spot. Whilst we could, easily, be playing for one as well.

Having said that, on their current form they'd be no certainty to beat Hawthorn whilst I can't currently see them getting anywhere near Carlton, Sydney or Brisbane.

A sobering thought.

Since beating Carlton by a goal in Round 8, Collingwood's only wins in the subsequent 10 weeks have been against West Coast, Adelaide and North Melbourne (two of which were by a kick and were affected by controversial late free kicks)...

Oh, and us by six goals.

Now imagine a Melbourne v Geelong Grand Final.

It would be the ultimate decider of the best team post Tigers, with 2 flags and a claim to being a "dynasty"

Would be a hilarious turn of events given the media [censored] show and writing off of both clubs this year, while Sydney and Carlton were up the top seemingly untouchable.

Collingwood coming out of this era with only the one flag would be best possible result.

Ah dreams

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
