Happy to disagree.

Use the spot for a decent inside or outside mid if you can't find a quality forward.

Ruck contributions and rucks in general are also highly over rated unless you land a generational player like Cox or Max.

Don't get too caught up in the 'we need to desperately find a replacement for Max" mantra

Not a replacement for Max. Back up and some sort of target up forward which is currently non existent. Likely a 3rd round pick for Lobb. Chances if getting a decent, ready to go mid for that are remote. I'm happy to hear who else can support Max. Fullarton is a bust. Verrell a fair way off.

the combined score is 22.4

its been an exhibition of set shot goal scoring today.

My oh my. What a topsy-turvy season: the only team capable of sustained excellence is Sydney. And, hate to state the obvious: the Dogs thrash the team that humiliated the Demons, and now North, the cellar team is thrashing the E Coli Wobblers. Oi Weh ...

Why? It’s more relevant right here

i give up

Wish i was a mod with time on my hands

This has a certain inevitability about it. We've seen this before

Sydney need to maintain their form for the second half of the season. While their position 3 games clear on top of the ladder provides opportunity to be fit and firing leading into finals alot can happen in the next 10 or so games.

Last Weeks opponent was The Filth.
Next week is North

Yes i think it is very relevant in here. North are doing what we SHOULD have done

But we are nowhere near it

If you wish to put your head in the sand and have a hissy fit on my behalf, that’s not my problem

its norths day when mongrel kicks like that go through.

That North goal started on line with the point post, and swung in!

How to get a 50 penalty:  turn your back so the opp can’t throw the ball to you. ( and change you name to daicos)

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
