[censored] the AFL

Ok, so if they say AFL official it must have been an umpire because all the other AFL officials are at the interchange. Is it possible he was just calling out a nickname or calling out to a player and the umps have just misheard him? Totally bizarre.

Surely the AFL has something worthwhile to focus on and not this dribble

Good to see things being handled promptly!!! How many weeks does it take?

Updating my resume as we speak. 😁

I won’t be getting paid at all. I’ve offered to replace Reece for free. 🤩

I’m going to refer back to my previous post in the trac injury thread about the desperate pile on the dees…

This is pathetic from the AFL media. Pathetic.

Despite the breathless tone of the numpty media potato, there's nothing in this but a giggle.

Reminds me of David Rodan's greatest moment where he broke clear from a half-forward pack and banged a long goal from 50... in the wrong direction.

It was inevitable that he would become a goal umpire, really. Maybe he is just waiting for the day someone else does it while he is between the sticks?

Still, we all know that this 'story' getting the breathless treatment is just symptom of AFL political economy.

probably a small fine in it, just for deterrent sake.

cant be jumping around infront of the oppositions kicking target, but nothing more than that

Sorry what are we angry about again? The fact that they pulled him up on it, the rule being stupid, AFL acting 2 weeks later or the fact that the media reported on it?

Asking for a friend.

Reece Conca appeared to forget his role for a brief moment.

It is pretty funny though

Or ‘e) All of the above’.

Big deal.

I forget I'm not a player every single weekend.

The Afl could reprimand 99 % of Demonland.

(And such damning video footage they have).

Nothing to see here, just trying to scare off those pesky pigeons and gulls.

Funny, if he did that today, it would be a free kick on the goal line to the oppo... :(

It's all right, he was under pressure!

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
