I did not pick them but, come on kangas

beat the bummers

Looking forward to Scotts press conference, wonder who he’ll blame this week, probably the AFL for scheduling his mob for playing in Darwin

Or better yet Collingwood.

As much as I despise Collingwood, they are a rung below my hatred for Essendon and Geelong. The smugness puts them on their own tier. Carlton are creeping into that bracket too

Against us they were off.

Against Port he ranted about the umpires.

Scott bingo.

What will his excuse be in this presser?

I'm picking schedule. Conditions are tough.

The arrogance of resting Hawkins and others when Cameron is out

They seriously thought they would still win

that was so much fun watching that

Well, Geelong got flogged. Can’t imagine there isn’t a very good reason.

NOT AN EXCUSE, ITS NOT AN EXCUSE

But I do wonder the reason for it… illness, distracting troubadours, whatever it may be…

BUT DONT YOU DARE SAY THAT THESE ARE EXCUSES

These Geelong people will attack you upside the head with reams of public money.

Public

Money

Stand Up Comedy GIF by The Ed Sullivan Show

Can Geelong play in Darwin every year??

Did the Cats tank?

Cameron and Danger injured and then…

Hawkins, Duncan, Stanley rested

At the ‘G and we’re Robbo and Phil Ceberano’s groupies 😅 Probs annoying the sch!tt outta everyone else since we don’t have indoor voices. In between songs I went to the stage to tell Robbo the wonderful news that is the final score of tonight’s match. Celebration time! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

“How outrageous asking the Cats to play on an oval shaped oval 2 of the last 3 weeks, all whilst this mystery illness* runs through the club.
We clearly need the state government to fund a MCG shaped and sized oval close to KP for us to train on otherwise it just isn’t fair”
*aka old age.

I love to pile on Geelong, but Chris Scott's post match interview last week was great.

He’s got a case. It’s the second time in 32 years.

Chris Scott under the pump in the press conference wearing one of the Cats style headbands.

His aftermatch speech was written weeks ago. He will roll out "We had an off night". No acknowledge to the team that beat them.

Where's Anderson from the AFL when you want him. Tanking??? Hmmmm

This has now actually become a pretty big game for us.

Cats could end up losing 10% plus. Say we add 3 or 4%.

We finish tge round equal points with the cats, and 13% plus clear.

And the blues play the swans at the scg.

The blues are also on 24 points but are only on 109%

If the blues lose, we could be a game and 15% plus clear of them.

That's a big gap for the blues to fall behind us

Dogs beating the giants would be the cherry on top.

As disappointing as last weeks 1pt loss was, the next best thing is to save % in this ever so close comp. We’ve done it twice, Lions and Blues.

Cats have a good run and probably still top 4 side with good amount of GMHBA games so likely 15 to 16 wins at least. 😭😭

Chris Scott.  He’s a sore sore loser.  That’s a fact.

Hawkins was always out as they said earlier.

They want him to break the club games record at home next week rather than Darwin and they know the conditions wouldn’t have suited him.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
