That’s such bad luck, but essentially borne from a lack of winning the clearance. Poor. And a waste of our goal.

What's gone wrong tonight?

After our huge success in SA we were shocking against the lions and questions arose where we were at

Then we play a ripper against the Cats and come out tonight exactly like the lions game.

Is it fatigue.?

Overconfidence?

Easily contented?

Are we overdoing the training during the week?

Something is not quite right.

Is it just poor preparation before games.

This is a team of off or on apparently.

Deever so true.

Why can’t we have 6 ON and the rest off to give us a sniff.

Its a pack of sheep mentality.

He won't get weeks. Plays for the HQ team.

No replays suggest they don’t want to convict before their muppet gets his hands on it. Wonder who has a smaller hands Laura or Brad Scott? I’m sure Chriso could take both at once.

Max Gawn - Stop tapping it to a bloody Carlton player.. costing us all night.

Hit backwards Maxy

we work our butts off to get a goal and then gift it back to them.

our clearance work is dreadful

I was going to say our backline has imploded tonight but if our midfield just let them waltz the ball on like that then it doesn't help.

Fending is your prior!

Was that three of ours in the air and the ball goes over the back goal to Carlton pids weak

Hey @Binmans PA remember when you so arrogantly shut me down after the Richmond game, when I said we were belted in the stoppages and out of the middle.

And how I said that would bite [censored] in the [censored] against Carlton?

Wheres your smug reply to this now?

Why are people blaming one group midfield or forwards? We've collectively been garbage tonight

Serious question fends are still considered prior right?

Because they’ve been carried by our defence all year?

Melbourne stop drafting St Kilda reject challenge.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
