We'll take the 4 points but , sorry to say it , that was [censored] woeful !!!

I lost count of turnovers at about 500.

We must do better than that !

Yes, the turnovers were cruelling when these did not have to be ... the Dees allowed themselves to be hurried searching for spacemakers that never penetrated. Disco put in a good game - very handy with his ground coverage when it mattered. Well fought, Dees ... but it could have been a very prominent 'walkover' with a bit more thought and effort. Not too sure that Petty is 100% - he should be contributing more in terms of effective possessions and disposals.

I did think max was best over all of the 4 quarter. After half time he had a few more contributors to help him, but the hurst half was his

Interesting Kozzie saying they worked their “@%$3” off at training.

Fatigue looked like a feature of the game. Looking forward to seeing them run ON TOP of the grass.

- Petty to return to the back line were he belongs and contributes.

- BBB back forward

- tmac out of the team

- Young Woey back to Casey

- Trac, Oliver,  Viney need a big week next week, playing well below par

Disco’s goal celebrations the highlight of the night for me. Fritta agrees 100%

Pros: 4 points, Disco! BOG by a country mile. The kids, generally.

Cons: Lots of our stars quiet/sloppy. Too many turnovers. Not saying we will lose against the cats/blues, but if we play like that, we will. Need to sharpen up. Quick. Oh and Petty, the poor man’s Disco. WOG by a mile. Off to Casey pls.

Not very convincing but 4 pts, go Dees

Happy for Disco but that was a porridge game to watch.

Im not sure whats happened in the last 2 weeks.

That was swill that game.

How we won by doubling their score I'm sure I'll never know.

From the get go, kicking out on the full, missing set shots, kicking straight to Richmond player without any pressure on the kicker and worst of all the majority of our hand balls didn't go anywhere .

I'm sure we couldn't have played more poorly.

In the end we banged through some goals with better connection but there was still some sloppiness.

How poor are poor Richmond.

Petty out for sure.

Sparrow too.

I seriously think that was one of our worst efforts in at least  the last five years. Next week we play an unbeaten Geelong. We are in for a tough time.

A win is a win.

Geelong game will really show us where we’re at.

Jackson 2.0?

Fair dinkum, not invested, that's why he got crunched going back into a pack.

Everyone else, repeat after me 1,2,3, We trust the match committee- Turner was a great selection.

A good scoreboard, considering the number of passengers we had: Petty, Chandler, JVR, Sparrow.

Trac was fumbly. Clarrie and Viney were below their best. Fortunately Disco, Maxy, Rick and Maysie were on song.

How did Turner not win the medal?

BOG by the length of a BBB run-up

take a bow son.

He's like another Nev Jetta.

I can see a rock solid player, swingman with this bloke.

Lever post match interview "worst kicking I think I've ever seen before half time"

At least we straightened up in the end.

El, to be honest, he lost me with the interview he gave at the Golf Course with Adelaide mates. That might be just me but I probably now view him from a negative standpoint.

He also doesn't appear to carry injury as well as others (of course, that's again me as just an onlooker).

But if he doesn't buy in, why play him? He's not the same bloke from our Premiership year. He's marking time. Hope I'm wrong.

Glad May is pleased , clearly happy over the top great to see

Got the win but gees. We're gonna get smashed by Carlton and Geelong if we don't get out act together. So many mistakes. Relying too much on too few.

Players come in and out of form at stages.  It's a long season.

But to have this many out of form, especially through the middle.  We simply have to get two out of the three amigos back to their best to have any chance against the Cats.

Then there's Petty.  He simply must take a spell at Casey to try and gain some match fitness and form.

At this stage i'd also look to bring Sestan in for Sparrow.  He probably isn't quite ready for a four quarter match but could come in as the sub with Laurie brought in to the interchange.

Was it really necessary to sign JVR for another FOUR years? Surely two would’ve been enough? Not saying he won’t make it, but seems a bit over the top for what he’s produced this year, another 5 years ahead, good luck to him

If Shai Bolton got injured Richmond would well finish 18th this year.

Disgraceful disposal. We made them look okay. 4 points is good but play like that next week and we will get done badly.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
