Each week in addition to my other bets I do 8 x 9 game multis at $5 each (every AFL game, all head to head) By doing 8 bets can take 3 games each way. This week I’ve taken

Cats v Blues

Freo v Dogs

North v Crows

all each way. If all  / the majority of favourites get up it doesn’t pay much but if a few of the long shots get up it can pay quite nicely.

If you have a sytem you only set yourself up for pain if you don’t stick to it.

I hope the AFL remind Geelong of this home game, that they’ve effectively sold to Carlton, when they inevitably start whinging about wanting a home final at KP.

Cant have it both ways.

Its the AFL decision not Geelong's, they actually would make more $$$ at Dunghole stadium.

so long as there is a minimum game requirement at Marvel per season

Now it's AFL owned that deal is not a requirement any more. Just an excuse

I really thought North would be more competitive this year given their drafting, Larkey etc.

Something is amiss perhaps

You can't argue with Clarkson's record, but it's been a long time since he's had success.

And dees fans know messiahs don't usually work out so well.

improvement is not linear. Eagles have been putrid for 2.5 years but seem to have turned a corner recently. North will as well.

And no chance they get re-located.

The Eagles still have some experienced good players on their list.
North have nothing like that. Totally different scenario

O wow - so many wrong dropping-the-ball decisions in this game. Horrendous. Clear, clear umpiring errors with 4 of them on the ground, and the officiating umpire only 10-15 metres from the play.

Dangerfield has old man syndrome

he goes to ground too easily

can’t keep his feet and contest the pill

if ever there was a game i'd like to see end in a draw its this one. i can't stand either team

Sheesh a fwd line of Hawkins Cameron Henry Myer stengall dangerfield

they lose the clearances but convert the  turnovers so well

Based on tigers game, we will struggle to beat both the cats & blues

Carlton conceding already 63 with 3 to go before half time, hmmm.

I have the same feeling. We have a better chance against Carlton as Scott just knows how to beat us a million different ways.

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read.
