The hospital handballs from the get go are killing us.

I think even if we win this we will feel somewhat concerned.

Discos gets a goal.

Sheesh talk about needing that.

I think we may get going now but ai can't explain the last forty mins

Well done Disco. Great moment. hopefully that lifts the rest of the team

Me personally? Close to zero, but our leaders on the field are absent. You can tell by the way the game is being executed.

They're playing poorly, but I'm not sure we can say they're leading poorly.

Hope so

It's been rather lukewarm so far

That's how we roll.
Dare I say it .... Boring.

Maxy must have been in rare form in September 2021 because he's tried an on-the-run from outside 50 goal multiple times since that prelim goal vs Geelong and never made the distance let alone been on-line.

Gawns kicking.....

He is always a flip of a coin, you get the good with the horrible

Rick trying to thread the 40 plus meter needle.  What for?   Your goal son

Our disposal is a dead set disgrace tonight.

You would think this is local football.

Nah, there is no energy or desire tonight. We are equally matched by a team that is worse than West Coast.

Why would Lever do that?

He was under no pressure at all and just kicks it straight in the middle as if passing to a tigers player.

What has happened to our skills?

Maxy do the team thing and hit up a free player.  You're the leader!

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
