Charlie prob held first but then didn’t make an attempt, arms out and they just call ball up.

Every game this year we have lost someone. Fgs

Our tackling is great.

Our system is average

Our marking is poor.

Oliver and Viney strangely fumbly.

Clayton Oliver is practically a liability at stoppages so far tonight. Isn't winning the ball and isn't providing much defensively.

Defence being creamed by Hipwood

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The kolt was in the last centre bounce!

He's a liability in my Supercoach side ATM too.

Brisbane happy to play a stoppage game and beat us from stoppage with Oliver providing nothing.

binman has told us that we like to lose clearances so you may relax

Any danger of laying a tackle on Raynor?

Any danger of a stoppage clearance. Unbelievable

Bit porous

Clearance game has been problematic all year. Lions will make you play. All goals from stoppage. Absolutely pathetic.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
