We got nowhere approaching LJ's worth and if Petty goes we might get a high second round.

Don't know much about Holmes... what is he worth (both pick and salary)

I was 100% sure he was ruled out with a hammy,  it looks like it wasn’t that simple.

WOuld love his speed in the team. He is a great athlete. Hard to see Geelong letting him go. Players just don't seem to leave that club.

when given the picks were both expected to be around 14. Luck made the second year pick higher

He was a pick 3 21 year old with proven high level skills. His $1M salary put him in the top 20-40 salary wise in the league

Not saying we could have done better but we got nowhere near his future worth

Jefferson in 2022 for example shows that pick 14/15 doesn't equal Jackson

Been thinking this a long time after it was highly public Geelong usurped us.. pace is big plus and would suit our mids given he’s more outside overall but can win it inside as well..

We paid nowhere near Grundy's market value to get him to us. The fact we completely @#$%^& it up is a different issue. We also picked up BBB for a song and got Langers for a set of steak knives.
