joeboy great start to the season, agree with much of your pithy triplets. Reality is a dish best served up cold.  A trifle harsh on Judd McVee (Jekyll and Hyde). Some excellent moments with a few diabolical lapses. Ed Langdon on my viewing had a (blue colour performance).

Schace - never again please

I'm not one to bag players, and was more than happy to be open to the idea schache might be OK.

But as we saw with weed, if a player hasn't got instinctive grunt and fire they rarely can develop it.

Slippery night, so the talls get a pass on marking, but his lack of second efforts and inability to hold his ground are woeful.

Both were on display in a contest where Grundy marked on the wing, on his chest. Weak effort by schache. They got a goal as a result.

And those attributes means it hard to see him making it as a second ruck.

Let's dump on Schache

Yay!! A whipping boy!!

I just did/was.

But you make a fair point.

There were plenty of others who played worse.

Langdon was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise horrid night.

Except for his kicking.

Well I thought Shache was good vs Carlton, but a week is a long time in footy so here goes

Shache Only in emergency

Spargo 97 lucky games

Laurie Back to Casey

Chandler Back to Casey

Sadly we will see him again.

It's what happens when key fwds are out from serious injuries for several seasons and the club just sits around doing nothing about it.

Oh sorry we recruited Grundy for a season. My bad.

Really think we need more from Nibbler.

He seems to have lost a lot of his form.

As has Langdon, Lever and Rivers.

Time for Chandler to find himself at Casey and Laurie should never have left them.

I'm hearing you, but to be fair to Schache, Grundy cannonballed into him and he's much bigger and stronger

He's not a 2nd ruck

And while we're on it, Grundy ran into Gawn ALL night and Gawn did nothing to allay the tactic

Dumb play or dumb coaching?

I think this is the most glaring example of the club/coach/captain’s stubbornness I’ve ever seen.

Grundy rendered Gawn almost useless from the very first bounce and we had absolutely nothing up our sleeve to rectify it.
