Gawndy the Great 9,011 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Weren’t we into Acres at one point? Solid winger can take a great mark. Quote
leave it to deever 17,618 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Crowd sounds like a Carlton home game. Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,457 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 This will be one of the great chokes in a Season if Vegas lose this. I am actually shocked after watching the first 40 minutes. They absolutely had Carlton on the ropes, playing fast aggressive footy Bathwater? 1 Quote
leave it to deever 17,618 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 (edited) Some more iffy highs being paid to Carlton. Edited March 8, 2024 by leave it to deever Quote
leave it to deever 17,618 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 And we smashed this mob last week. They were obviously resting during it. Maybe we should have as well. 2 Quote
rolling fog 1,208 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Blues seem connected end to end. Makes me sick. Quote

Probably, but never realistically in the picture for whatever reason. That trade was baffling and has to be draft tampering. Carlton gave up a future third round pick for Acres, who had just been Freos best player in the finals before exit. He's a good footballer and has toweled us up a few times now. Quote
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Just goes to show preseason matches are completely and utterly irrelevant. We belted Carlton last week. They come out next week in the real stuff and best Brisbane up at the gabba. We come out and roll over to the Swans. 3 Quote

The heart beats true 18,201 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Gees that’s a horror show from Brisbane. 3 Quote
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Makes me sick seeing Carlton leapfrog past us this past year. The only difference between us is they play fast aggressive football with ball in hand and can hit leading forward targets. 1 Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Great game it has to be said huge result for Carlton. sets up the season for them. Lions really [censored] the bed. Pathetic second half from them 4 1 Quote
Maldonboy38 6,435 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 That was a really good game of footy, and as much as I hate to say it, a great win from the Blues. Dees take note - foot skills create wins. 2 Quote
monoccular 17,760 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Bears' massive choke - Normanic proportions. Were the Bears cocky or the Blues inspired? 1 Quote

They have a midfield that is as good as ours if not better (with Walsh to come back), a forward line with a generational FF, a powerful CHF and proper small forwards, and a defence which has Weitering to come back. They have forward half talent we’d kill for and they maximise that talent. 6 1 Quote

Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 (edited) It’s going to be one of those wacky years folks. Everyone thought Carlton was dead after a quarter and a half of footy. Loooooong way to go Edited March 8, 2024 by Dee Zephyr 1 Quote
dl4e 5,851 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 I don't care what people think. Lions threw that game away. Quote
BoBo 2,956 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Kiddy Coleman was a huge out for Brissy. They didn’t have anyone in the backline with a cool head to quieten the game down. He is also one of the best field kicks. Unironically made a big difference losing him. Quote
dees189227 12,512 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Gee Carlton had a few good players out. See the team that kicked straight wins. Brisbane had 7 more scoring shots Quote
BoBo 2,956 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Lyon saying the conditions were humid and tough to play in? If that’s true then we have no excuse for how we played. Both teams looked like they were in completely dry weather tonight. WTF 1 Quote
At the break of Gawn 4,512 Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 Credit to Carlton. They made some big tactical changes at half time and won territory. If only our coaching staff would make in-game moves… 1 1 1 Quote
