Old 6 whether you’re the beneficiary of a press pass or you’ve hit the sweet spot and shooting with some very nice teleglass. The resulting pictures capture the action moments fluidly. Cheers!

Geez the new player with the bag of balls needs to step up his training progress if he's going to get a game next year....

Great photos as always 6!

But, can anyone explain who this indigenous kid is?

I was about to comment about Pickett looking ripped and then got to the pictures of Rivers. Body transformation stuff.

Bowey also doing the Dustin Fletcher style sinewy muscle, so presumably we can expect another 30+ years of good football from him.

Doing draft research earlier in the year I came across two names that were in the NT academy.

Ricky Mentha and Clay Shadforth. Could be one of these two.

I haven't been able to ascertain if either are part of our NGA, or any names for that matter.

Bailey Laurie has completely trimmed down. There have certainly been talk that he's been carrying some puppy fat, but looks like he's worked incredibly hard this off season.

Taj Woewodin looks in ridiculous shape for 20 year old kid.

You are certainly correct, it's Ricky Mentha.

@Nascent

Gippsland Power

Ricky Mentha: X-Factor is the best way to describe Mentha. The boy from the Northern Territory loves a goal and doesn’t just rely on his forward craft to impact on the field. Mentha is an electric player who pounces on the loose ball inside 50 and can daze opponents on the fly. At 180cm, he’s also able to generate run and drive through the corridor and present as an agile midfielder at times. A lot of polish to be added, but it’s hard to miss him with his engaging style of footy.

Just brilliant thank you

why can’t our media department do this, as another poster mentioned your photos make us feel as though we are there 😀

TBF I've checked a few other clubs websites and their photo gallery's have like 10 photos compared to ours that have 30-40

I'm also super impressed by Noah Yze. He has put on considerable size from last year!

Hopefully he can get a midfield spot for the Chargers and make the Vic Metro side.

No such luck, no press pass for the devil. All the result of the glass. I had to find a descent hole in the fence that gave me a clear view without cyclone wire. The guy on the gate was not going to entertain letting me in.

Wouldn’t another player in the mould of Aaron Davey just make us all feel better about the complete schemozzle we made of the finals last year. Chances that good don’t come around often.

That's Harvey Langford. He's a Dandenong Stingrays player who is training with the club for exposure. He's touted as a high pick.

Great photos as usual. Thanks 666

Rivers looks like he has zero fat on him, Woey as well. Intensity is high.

I know it's just December, but the boys look like they've come back in great knick.

What's that saying about no premierships are won in preseason, but they can certainly be lost due to a bad summer.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
