Unethical sponsors is the go-to for champion clubs.

Collingwood has Emirates, KFC, LaTrobe Financial, and Nike.

An all-flavours ice cream box of worker exploitation, dishonest finance, actual slavery, and fatbergs.

I googled to check something about Emirates airlines; the CEO/quasi-owner is of course a son of the previous god-king of Dubai.

"Ahmed's career in the aviation industry began in 1985 when he was appointed president of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). Emirates, the national carrier, was launched at the same time, with Ahmed appointed chairman."

Love it. Pure Collingwood. He even married his cousin.

Yes, but how many teeth does he have and how many are his?

I have found Hertz great to deal with both here and in the U.S .Terrific service and always honour the MFC discount.

My issue wasn't to do with service levels, but treatment of their workers.  I understand most supporters seem OK to take cash from anyone on the basis that everyone else does, I just wish our club could be more ethical.

I doubt they'd be interested in sponsoring an individual club as they're looking at a bigger prize and lobbying strongly to gain the naming rights for the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

They want it to be known as "The McG".

Too bad the logo isn't on the front. Our mids might kick to a leading target if it were so obvious.

Until you provide more detail from a source or yourself or more posters back your comments up I will continue to use Hertz and gain my 10/20% discount from them and their high standards of service.

Not that we'll ever know but wonder if this was Jaguar not being prepared to pay more than Hertz or them just deciding to not sponsor Dees anymore. Hope it's the former. I would imagine the cost of sponsorship is a lot more now than it was when they first came on board.

Read the post on the MFC website. Definitely seems like a happy divorce.

Strong cultural fit with the forthcoming Tassie franchise?

I am surprised Jaguar is still a sponsor. The brand is going nowhere in the Australia market.  One of the poorest selling European brands.

As long as the $$$ sponsorship is in line with the size of the logo.

If that’s the case, we will be funding 100% of our new training facility by tomorrow

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
