Surprised there wasn't a thread started on him already. Had a really strong finish to his year that has put him well and truly into top 5, if not top 3, calculations. Played a couple games for Casey in the year.

Possibly out of reach for us at pick 5 (perhaps 7 post GC and North FA compo), however we may still be able to make our way up the board for him if the club believes he's our man.

I’d rather him than Reid. Purely just my opinion based on what I’ve read / seen. 189cm good mark and classy around goals.

You would be pretty much the only person on the planet that thinks this way.  I haven't seen either live and watched limited highlights but Reid gives you his package of elite skills plus kicks goals  to boot. Ready made too to add to our mids list of stars etc.

Would have to go higher in draft yo get either Thats the issue. I would be happy with 2 out of McKercher, Caddy or Watson. Suit our needs either way but still no Ruck backup. This is more a trade discussion not a draft need.

From the highlights only, He looks like he’d be a few years off having an impact at AFL level. I’m not as big on him as some of the other projected top ten.

Yep, flags for all 3 of the AFL, AFLW, VFL. Then there's the last 3 years finishing H&A in the top 4. $h!thou$e culture if you ask me

@Bombay Airconditioning isn't the only person on the planet who rather take Duursma than Reid. I am another.

Is this young man any relation to the (Jamie?) Duursma who played for the Dees so many years ago?

Jamie is his uncle. I believe Zane’s dad, Dean, played under 19’s for the Dees.

I reckon that's who we want more than Reid.

That's my gut feel as well.

Targeting roos pick 3 with 6 and 11.

Dogs want Duursma i would say, how bout Whoreforn?

I dunno. I don’t see him as top 10 let alone top 5 highlights there. I’m no expert and only go by what I see, but I wouldn’t be moving up the draft for 190cm 3rd tall. Its a brutal industry but its not what we need right now. Has he played midfield? Wing ? Any outside role?

I guess I just look at his older brother and think of the colossal [censored] show in 5 years time id he was to turn out the same.

If the experts say next Nat Fyfe, then by all means go for it. It is such a different game at the next level. I would hate to be a scout.

Hawthorn keen on Duursma allegedly.

Twomey has mentioned both Watson and Sanders for the dogs.

Haven't come acroos a solid link for McKercher yet but he isn't expected to make it out of the top 5.

He is a beast, and is a Midfield/Forward.

Much like Petracca was in his early years, and he reminds me a lot of those type of players.

Have watched a few of his games now, very different to his brother, who I also like.

He will be the future of our midfield.

Disclaimer - I was filthy when we selected Oliver over Parrish, so my opinion means nothing 😀

Twomey reckons he has Nate Fyfe qualities. Big call!

He'll fit it well at the Dees then. Fyfe is a shocking kick for goal.

I don’t think the behinds make the highlight reel 😂

I’ve been on Zane dursma all year

so much going for him

fast, elite skills, great mark and big leap

when he was playing at Casey there was a few highlights of him linking up down the wing with harmes and few others and he already looked better than them. Makes good and fast decisions. Reminds me a lot of Conor rozee

Agree with you mate. I think he'll be a miss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
