Gee it helps to win a clearance.

Well done Smith.

Pay attention Tmac.

Watch it again and just before the ball comes in Tmac gets body on Weitering and prevents him getting to the contest

It's not the umpires' fault we are behind. It's our wayward forward line yet again. In an arm wrestle, the winner is always the side that converts its chances.

Same strengths and same weaknesses on show. Bombing it to no one. Tmac can’t get off the ground at all. Well done Joel smith. Only for him we’d be in all sorts.

no composure, trac the main offender. Struggling to move the ball.

but we’re still in it. Hoping our superior fitness can see us home.

come on dees.

Let's face it..as mecurial as his skills are Kossi is an [censored].

Pickett [censored] the bed again in a big game. Why am I not surprised?

At this point I'd sun Schache out midway through the third for McDonald.

Yep been saying that for ages. His hack kicks are meaningless

Are we talking about Petracca?

Has been a liability so far. Hopefully he can light up the second half.

Get TMac off and try Schache. Can’t be worse.

Won't be better. I can guarantee. There's a reason he isn't on at the start when the heat is on. Soft as half-melted butter.

I cannot believe what I saw that quarter. Never have I see such a blatant attempt to get a team back into it than that.

I really don’t understand the rules of footy anymore. That was incomprehensible.

Yes, TMac needs to retire. respectfully

We're at 57% efficiency going forward. Our issue tonight is actually giving away territory on the flanks.

Didn't see Spargo that quarter.

Jordan ain't no Gus.

Fire up Fritta.

Anb too.

Chandler and Kozzie ain't that much at all.

Smith a Lone hand fwd.

Tmac see ya later. Tx for some memories . You should not have been there last week as well.  Could you just show a glimmer of gusto in perhaps your last game.   Fgs.

Bring on the sub.

The lack of foot skills in our team is glaring, isn't it?

Pickett set the tone early by giving up the shot on goal Smith had early in the game.

He will be suspended for his bump on Cripps and rightly so.

Won't be much of a loss tbh on current form. Unfortunately the next cab off the rank would be Bailey Laurie and that fills me with very little confidence.

Tries to be the tough guy too much too.

Just get a kick first Koz.

Undisciplined.

They completely changed the momentum and also denied us getting the lead back. Disgraceful. But doing as they are told.

TMac is a game killer and they have hom next season as well!

Takes the biggest defender..hasn't been true for seasons, now he just gets in the way and crushes our hopes.

Faark!

I'm waiting for the impossible hanger attempts now.

Commentary completely ignores the ARC. AFL shysters

Huh? I think without him tonight we’d be getting absolutely smashed!

Mate he's had a putrid first half. Dinky little 5m kicks that gets directly turned over.

Running at 55% says it all along with just 2 tackles.

It's Jake Lever, Petracca and May who are keeping us in it.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
