GAMEDAY: QF vs Collingwood

We’ve been running out games superbly but a 90k crowd worries me in the final quarter.

Hope we stay within 10 points for the first three quarters.

With his injury and return to the side, I think Clarry is cherry ripe for a 35+ disposal masterclass. Just hope him and Trac don’t try to do too much early

Huge game, can’t wait

A long day. On my way to work now then will make my way into the G.

I'm feeling excited but tonight I'll be a wreck.

I just hope our young ones like van Rooyen can deal with what's going to come tonight. Finals is a different type of pressure.

Cox will know doubt be gutlessly targeting Max but hopefully Max can turn on his A game.

I would love to see kozzie stand up tonight and snag a few

was it in the west of the town?

I am pumped. Got the day off work, the kid will be in daycare, it's gonna be 29 degrees and sunny in Amsterdam. Can't wait to smash beers in the sun after a big win!!

It's held in the entertainment precinct through fortitude valley. About 15 venues running simultaneously. 150 bands over 3 nights. It's Disneyland with bands!

Like a smaller version of South by Southwest

Enjoy those beers

Quietly confident.

We have them covered in all depts.

We'll run out game better.

They're WOBBLY.. we aren't.

Pies out in straight sets.

Here in Somalia it’s midnight, game starts bang smack in the middle of the day, presenting a conundrum as have been trying to lead by example here, and the boss getting on the beers at lunch is not a good look. Fortunately DSTV (ZA cable channel) is showing the game live so I might have a stomach ailment and move to the guest house for a conference call.

I already have a visual of you, already, wincing and rubbing your stomach at opportune moments... then collecting an academy award.

Do what you gotta do!

Collingwood will be manic at the start. We need to withstand that. In front, or close, at three quarter time and we win this.

Looks like it is going to be wet, so our small forwards become even more important.

No Hollywood handballs. Just shunt it forward. Win ugly Dees.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
