Cmon cats.

Season's over.

Get clumsy.

Sharpen up the elbows.

Put some mayo on the tackle.

Bump. Maul. Scrap.

I thought that Hawkins was out for the season.

Pies players all alone everywhere. Geelong cannot move.

Probably a virus Jaded. Poor Cats

Both sides have scored 2+ goals from bad decisions. Was really hoping Maynard would get done for dissent, Field umpire knew they'd stuffed it up. Fair play to Collingwood though, injuries and they didn't drop their heads, got to work.

Bye bye Geelong

Smith retired

Hawkins next

Dangerfield to focus on his off the field duties

You could save your time and watch the replay of his presser  on the AFL site. It will look like this   😮😮😮😮

I can’t stomach his whinging, excuses etc. I hate the Pies but geez coffee tomorrow morning in Torquay surrounded by pu$$y supporters is gonna be good.

They’re so unlucky to always get a virus when they lose.

Assume Geelong haven't been properly fit for the whole year. Been exposed big time.

That's exactly right.

Were unfit round one. And have never got fit since.

I don't care if the pies go on to win this game by 80 points. Proves zip.

Their fans and fan boys get a sugar hit, but they do not look like the favourites for premiership threat atm.

I'm not saying they can't turn it around, but geez they want to do it quickly.

We will get a better guide next Friday night.

You always start on the back foot fitness wise when you win a flag or play off in one. It’s even harder when you’re 900 years old.
Sydney also started terribly and had loads of injuries. Now they’re coming good. But again, they’re not 900 years old.

Baby cats.  What’s wrong with baby cats

Both teams having a red hot crack, but the Cats are chasing jumpers most of the time. Pies are getting +2 to almost every contest which means the Cats midfield has totally lost its defensive running.

Umpiring in general has been good, but LOTS of throws not called. I reckon Tom Mitchell has done it 3 times on his own.

Any game in which McStay gets multiple goals, you know the other team is struggling.

Daicos can kick alright, eh!

I simply cannot understand how Ginnnivan doesn't get a regular game. Natural footballer. Seems to have dropped all the ducking and d**head stuff too.

Can I say I am really enjoying David Rodan's work tonight

Geez Dangerfield and Cameron

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?
