A mixed bag of views.  Quite bland really.

  • With Melbourne's strong defence, I'd rest Jack and bring in the more nimble Cumberlland.  We look so good when we play with pace.
  • We're ****ed against the Dees next week if we don't find another tall in a hurry to keep Lever and May occupied.
  • We have nothing to lose next week. If anyone is going to do some pumping it’s the Tiger Army against them Feckless Felchers!
  • Does that faux tough guy lever still have that stupid Moe??
  • Well you DO sound like you’re whinging and nobody asked you to come on to the Richmond board and give your opinions. So go away.  (To a Hawks fan).
  • Beat Shemans next week and the lid is off, imagine if we had lynch for most of the season…
  • shemans will rush in cocaine oliver and beavis fricstch next week for their grand final
  • Anyone else find it weird that Hardwick couldn’t win a close game and Mini can’t lose one?
  • Watched melb win by 4p v crows today , didn’t look unbeatable to me
  • We'll smash them if we turn up. Big IF though
  • You should post more often , 100% pure sense , rare around here
  • We are a chance...Big boys game...Mini attack!
  • Free kicks 21 - 12 for Rabbleborne against Addaraid, I'm a going to stay under the biggest rock i can find game day!
  • Miller and Jack to sacrifice themselves on May and Lever while we run, gun and lower our eyes entering 50.  Only way to beat Melbourne without Lynch
  • game plan- we bomb it in we lose. give may and Lever a field day. be smart and bring in another tall option
  • we wont win this…we are shemans grand final
  • I'd like for us to take a scalp like Melbourne just to show we might not just be making up the numbers come September.
  • Melbourne by 8 goals as we were horrible against Hawks and Eagles.
  • Can't see us beating the Dees. Can't see us getting within 24 points for that matter.

Lots of favourites this week:

1.  Does that faux tough guy lever still have that stupid Moe??

2. About Kane Cornes

  • No wonder he failed as a fireman.  Prefers to start fires rather than put them out.

3.  A passing reference to our record 186pt loss, perhaps...

  • Outs - mansell, kmac, Cotchin, miller
  • Ins - Cumberland, Browne, sonsie, Ryan
  • We will loose by 186 if we make those changes

4..  This comment:

  • Well loose

triggered these responses

  • We are in big trouble.
  • We'll smash the dees.
  • We will win
  • You win some you loose some

Any pedants out there😉?

Quite a few references to the contemptuous 'shemans' for our beloved demons...hope we thrash them in a bruising game.

More likely a win by the Dees by a 3-4 goals

I’m taking an overseas holiday so this is my last ‘WTAS@...’ .  Will leave it up to other posters to prepare them while I’m away and if they wish, continue with them thereafter.

Stay well, D’Landers!

Overseas holiday - a disgraceful dereliction of duty Luci !!!!

You must cancel it immediately so that Demonland is not denied your outstanding work!

shemans. classy and misogynistic.

It may be misogynistic but as for classy, there are plenty on here who have similarly “classy” names for other clubs.

I reckon this is a good point;

"We're ****ed against the Dees next week if we don't find another tall in a hurry to keep Lever and May occupied.'

Nullifying oppo intercept marking in the back half has become critical in footy now.

And we will need to put work into vlastun (melk might get him) and broad.

And limit riolis bounce of hb.

yeah the classy was sarcastic. and i am aware, unfortunately

LOL at the tool who thinks we view this as our grand final. Sorry Tiges, you were great 2017-2020 but now you're sliding down the cliff back to irrelevance where you and your rabid bogan throng belong.

To your credit, none of those are misogynistic

Someone has series issues.  Inferiority complex perhaps?

Of course not.

Presumptuous they'll even be playing finals come September. They're a below average team and likely won't make it.

Dees by 4 goals.

"volunteer" ..... A very nasty word to one of my proudly slothful disposition !!!

I find it interesting how opposition supporters still think we win games by May and Lever taking intercept marks. Sure, we can win that way and it won us a flag two years ago, but we've rarely won that way this year. St Kilda being the exception because King went down, freeing up May and it had a flow on effect to the rest of the back 7.

I know we know our team better than opposition supporters and we have a media that is obsessed with shallow analysis so supporters are unlikely to gauge the real strengths and weaknesses of all teams, but we much prefer to score from intercepting higher up the ground now, with our back 7 behind this as cover.

But I guess I shouldn't expect clear and insightful analysis from Richmond nuffies.

No effort at all involved - just a few taps of the keyboard and mouse!  All from the comfort of an armchair...

...I'm sure D'landers would appreciate it....

Maybe we could call it "appointment" then.......same as " by appointment to HM of Romsey Manor"

Surely a bit of extra internet browsing of dubious opposition sites, could sit alongside with browsing of other dubious internet sites?

Or you could "delegate" said task to one of your underlings?

It's Shemen, not Shemans

Check ya gramma!

Our Sheman Demons are reigning Premiers.

I grew up saying poos and wees, due to all my mum's side of the family being Hawks supporters.  The 80s were hell for me football wise

Blow it up and post on the walls of the changeroom - great pregame motivation.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?

  • NON-MFC: Round 11

Round 11, the second week of The Sir Doug Nicholls Round, kicks off on Thursday night with the Cats hosting the Bulldogs at Kardinia Park. Geelong will be looking to to continue their decade long dominance over the Bulldogs, while the Dogs aim to take another big scalp as they surge up the ladder. On Friday night it's he Dreamtime at the 'G clash between Essendon and Richmond. The Bombers will want to avoid another embarrassing performance against a lowly side whilst the Tigers will be keen to avenge a disappointing loss to the Kangaroos. Saturday footy kicks off as the Blues face the Giants in a pivotal clash for both clubs. Carlton need to turn around their up and down season while GWS will be eager to bounce back and reassert themselves as a September threat. At twilight sees the Hawks taking on the Lions at the G. Hawthorn need to cement themselves in the Top 4 but they’ll need to be at their best to challenge a Brisbane side eager to respond after last week’s crushing loss to the Dees on their home turf. The first of the Saturday night double headers opens with North Melbourne up against the high-flying Magpies. The Roos will need a near-perfect performance to trouble a Collingwood side sitting atop the ladder.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
