Look even more average!

Yep, correct !!

Team of average skilled fumbling footballers.

Cant question effort, but need polish

We need to offer Burgess kids jobs and a house to move to Vic and get him back.

If we don’t win this game it is time for some serious discussions at the club.

Stoker has been off injured for the last 15 minutes so they only have one on the bench

Poor choice by Trac, either have the shot or that’s gotta go 10 meters out.

Poor choice to kick it to Grundy?

i know what you mean

Do we have another gear?

It's not a motoring show...

If we lose this it will be as a result of losing the 2nd ball to the Saints .

Very few crumbers at the drops,  shocking at loose ball gets and contested ball gets.

Can't maintain a chain beyond about 3 or 4 possessions

Still cant find targets inside and not enough forwards lead or time their leads at all towards the ball carrier.

Talls / mediums continue to sit back at the top of the square or just outside the goal line.

Where are the short shallow kicks (on occasions) to a leading forward around 40 to 50 meters out to at least maintain possession, have a shot at goal, eat up the clock and give our mids a rest and HBs more time to set up an effective wall??????????

The Saints were dominated for most of that quarter and we could still barely convert after so many entries.

Forward craft Pffft!   CRAPPOLA!

Might be time for Kossie to have a spell at Casey. He's been underwhelming for weeks

Time was about three weeks ago.

Our coach clearly is from South Australia, constantly behind the times.

That was due some time ago.

I am surprised you didn't notice.

I don’t think our effort has been as good as it was or could be.

Ch7 commentary team so painful to listen to.

Trac looks angry.

Smith to come on - a couple goals in the last please….

We all honestly know we are a bottom 8 team.

We all wish we were a ruthless, team oriented smart team.

disappointing performance, lack of running and chasing by a few players are keeping the saints in this. even though they are tired they are committed i wish i could say the same about all of our players.

Poor choice to play Grundy

I'd much rather have JVR down there.  Or Smith!

Grundy is not the answer.

Tap bros experiment should have been killed off three or four weeks ago.

Grundy sub (at best)

Ironically we played much better last week through the middle

This is the dirtiest Umpire effort to make one side competitive i have ever seen.

It's just so one sided. We are not playing well, but they are just a dirty side, and a lot dirtier with Jones in it.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
