BT - “ANB was lucky”…I think it is time to turn down the volume.

He's incredibly insightful around the intricacies of this match.

He's mentioned look at all those blue beanies about 5 times.

So Lever had a fifty paid for being to close to the mark a few weeks back. Has that rule been changed

Only for us.

Bad kicking = bad footy

Most of the misses (that made the distance) have shanked to the left.

Instruction from here.... aim for the right hand post.

P.S. can the Magpie army pls start chanting.... we might kick straighter (training background effects)

So disappointed with this. Have had our run for no reward and will loose this by 30+. seen this script a hundred times before

Side note: the Ch.7 commentary is borderline insufferable!!

And that has changed how?

oh wow, most of the play but efficency and accuracy problems, WHO COULD POSSIBLy HAVE SEEN THAT COMING?

Such a boring and predictable storyline yet again.

It’s in our hands.

Play a bit smarter and kick straighter we win this.

Just don’t think we’re that smart.

🤨

Completely shut down their run and carry just so inaccurate.

Should be a clear 3-4 goals in front.

Friggen let them off the hook.

Kozzy should be asigned to him on kick ins Nick won't go if he is near him.

That is correct.... and why you dont have Spargo on the mark for any of his kick ins.

ALL THE LITTLE THINGS!

Apart from Fritsch no forwards. Kozzie is a real worry - has done nothing for weeks.

If only he did not go for the mark of the century every time.

Chandler not great either. Jvr gone quiet.

My early take - whatever happens today, I've seen enough to think our style of play will hold up better than the Pies in a final.

David King’s love for Collingwood needs to be called out by someone. It’s becoming weird at this point lol

Kozzie has been rubbish for weeks. His constant mark of the year attempts cost the team multiple goals every week. It’s a real problem and the coaching staff need to get to work with him or send him to the VFL to find form. Playing a man down today with him out there. So frustrating as he can be a match winner and has the potential to be one of the best players in the league.

They’re more skilled and their defence is too good for our attack (such as it is). On the turnover they look incredibly dangerous, we look like we we’d be lucky to score. That’s very simply the story of that half. We’re in it, but playing as ugly and fantastically inefficient as we are (which is now in our heads), can’t see how we pinch it.

Same old story. Forwards are [censored] except Frisch & kicking bad 2nd year in a row against them. Made that Spud Cox look like a champion because Grundy refused to man him up. Grundy not worth the money he is being paid.

I’m actually ready for Kozzie to be dropped to the VFL. Just all at sea with the way he is playing and needs to realize he’s not above team play. So many opportunities for him to be at the fall of the ball but he’s no where near or worse trying to take mark for the year about 10m from where the ball actually is

Looking like he's being SEVERELY overpaid this season for his output.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
