Defense has been excellent so far, particularly May

Take a bow D backline

Are we playing any differently today?

Nothing I’m seeing says we are!!!

Two missed set shots - could have been ahead.
Has Chocco left?

It’s our intensity. We are behind but aren’t giving up. We are on today

Petracca has to lift !!!!!! Two misses. 20% kicking efficiency. He is a star. But no superstar yet. Footskills are average.

If only we had Oliver

Smith just pkay the footy instead of looking to the umpire for a free! Cost us an easy mark leading to a goal

Unless something changes they will hold us at arms length all day long

Bobby Hill free? I’d take him. Knows where the goals are!!

I think it's about 6.

JVR and Pickett didn't even make the distance from 35m out

This will be a massive test for the Demons who will be facing a genuine Premiership contender. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
