That was Nero's fault. He fiddled instead of calling the fire brigade.

McKay is actually listed at 204cm.

It's a significant difference and that's where I thought Tomlinson battled well even though he was beaten.

I'd play him on Brody Mihocek.

Mihocek is an aerobic beast fwd he works his [censored] off and Tomlinson can go with him better than May

Let 2021 go mate. We're not going to dominate every week.

That's the thing. Some people think the last three minutes of the third quarter of GF was how played for the entirety of 2021. Recall the loss to GWS. Their midfielders waltzed out of centre bounces and our forward line was anaemic (picture high kicks to Spargo matched against two tall defenders...). Re-read the postgame thread; midfield rubbish, Fritsch to be dropped, Goodwin to be sacked.

Form fluctuates. Sustained success is hard. Premierships are a possibility not a certainty.

Lots of focus on our opposition not being amazing but our gold coast win at metricon looks really good to me, as they knocked off the doggies who are in great form.

Such a tiresome stat that actually shows how we beat up on lowly teams and struggle against top 8 teams.

Following your logic you must be thrilled with our scores of 76, 72 and 61 in the last three weeks, lol

We have Coll, Cats at Geelong, Saints, Brisbane and Adelaide coming up, reality check time.

Good posting

Absolutely! See also the essendon win, hawthorn draw, loss to the bulldogs (stats were ok but we were really lacking connection), even the wins against West Coast and Adelaide at the end people were not very comfortable with. We played a lot of footy similar to last night in 2021.

I sort of like it how we are going under the radar with mainstream media at this stage of the season.

Same. Bar a couple of close losses this season is trending like 21.

Good for you

You would probably declare season over at three quarter time.

Probably should be talking about Petracca's game more.

32 possessions, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 7 clearances, 15 ground ball gets (next highest for either side was Walsh with 8), 9 score involvements but also 27 pressure acts, 11 of which were in the defensive half, all from 83% game time. Did it on offence and defence. Truly superb.

He played with a chip on his shoulder last night, good to see

And you're not?

I don’t know. Am I? You tell me. In what way am I just too much?

If you’re gonna post your little rhetorical question how about you elaborate while you’re at it.

100%
The backline held the joint together for much of the middle part of the year.
Front end of the ground didn't work much better than ours is now though Kozzie and Frittta were kicking a few.

You understand this is blatant hypocrisy, right?

We win ugly, you talk about how we played terrible football.

Collingwood win ugly, you talk about their W-L record (i.e. suggesting the win is all that matters).

Collingwood had one ugly game while we've had quite a few ugly games.

Did you watch their win against North last week?

Imagine your reaction if we only beat North by 35 points and allowed them to kick 6 goals in a quarter.
You’d be calling for a National inquiry

I'm sure you wouldn't be happy with conceding six in a quarter to North

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
