GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs Yartapuulti

Only 13 points down now. It would be amazing if we come back and win this one after serving up absolute dog**** this first half.

Superb kick Fritsch.

We're not out of this game at all.

Yeah but we don't want to see him snap and get suspended

You wouldn’t blame him

May, you lost every ounce of your strength at the worst possible time

Another lost clearance.

May 1 vs 4.

Langdon guarding space.

Absolutely sums up the game.

May fumbling almost cost us that goal.

our ball handling is dreadful

Only their goal kicking has saved us from being 6 goals down. Let’s be totally honest.

May was the true definition of being worried out of it then.

We are a team that gets caught holding the ball a lot (see the Richmond game) and I can’t help but think we have lost all confidence to dispose of the ball when under pressure and tackled.

Is there a Melbourne player over 27 who has any strength in their legs?

May, Hunter, Grundy, Gawn, McDonald and Brown all completely shot in the legs

WHY IS EVERYONE IN A PORT JUMPER BY THEMSELVES?

Cos they run more.

Get a new midfield coach please.

Thanks for your time Yze, but it's utter disbelief that we can have an elite midfield/ ruckman combination and get absolutely slaughtered 11-0 clearences their way in that quarter.

[censored] Port.

Game on.

Go Dees.

No idea how we're still in this. I reckon I do have an idea - Port have squandered serious opportunities.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
