Worth one dollar but they want $5. They do come in a little presentation pack.

Given it has Queen Lizzy on the coin, maybe it’s now seen as an antique. Could explain the inflated rate.

I’d reckon you could get a Suns $1 for 20c

I’d say the Suns version is a very limited addition.

Yep, that's one bad deal.

It's not the coin value as the motive for purchase.

Really some DLErs are off the mark. Historical objects and prices are not judged the same value of the purchase but a potential value or sentimental etc. which is different to different people.

Its so basic and critical to expect this novelty coin for a dollar really. If it was a dollar it wouldn't be worth buying!

Went to the Perth Mint in Summer (Which I highly recommend by the way) and saw the million dollar coin that weighs a tonne and is currently worth around $50 million based on all the gold in it. Amazing stuff.

Outstanding investment!  I gonna stock up now, ‘cos their value will increase exponentially in late September 2023, and beyond.

I'd prefer Freddy Mercury.

Ironically, (if that were true) that would mean that in future, the relative scarcity of the GCS coins would make them worth more than the rest.

Or they could go the way of the 1&2c coins and no longer be considered legal tender.

Why isnt Barrassi or Smith on the flip side . We never learn.

We’ve made the mistake of not putting their heads on a $1 coin before? I’m guessing because it’s legal tender and also not a decision made by the club.

Perhaps you should find out rather than allude to the MFC missing an opportunity.

There quite possibly have not been a choice on the Queen for Clubs in this promotion!!!

Perhaps you could ask why isn't it the King also?

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
