Didn't know where to put this, here is as good as any.....as good as last night was and yes we are on top of the ladder, a little reality check may be required.

We have played one team in the current top 8.

That’s true, but the Dogs and Sydney are better than their current ladder position - or in Sydney’s case, were at the time we played them.

But yes, Collingwood, Port Adelaide, Adelaide and Geelong will all be tougher tests than most of our last month of footy.

Flat track bullies.

Cant understand why the umpires celebrate those numpties  except The Bont. Top 5 player in Afl.

Easily top 5, maybe even top 3

I'll tune in tomorrow to see what Kane Cornes and Matthew Lloyd say. They generally have 15 players each in his top 3-5 in the comp.

This could be the perfect day with Richmond, Essendon & Collingwood losing

What’s that I hear? Someone prematurely writing off Collingwood?

Come back to me at the end of the game.

They will be tough but I reckon we are finding a groove and expect us to be competitive at the very least. I thought the attitude last night was exemplary of how we need to play against those sides.

There was a 10 minute patch where the umpiring was killing the Pies v Crows match. But it has turned into a craacker of a game now.

Adelaide are good but if you keep missing easy opportunities in front of goal Collingwood will make you pay.

Pies are an excellent contest team with Sidebum, de Goey, Crisp, Mitchell, etc.

Suns winning is a great result for us death riders. Confident that Richmond are a better team than Freo and we really want Freo to finish below the Suns. 👏

Also takes the pressure off the Suns coming into next week against us.

ABC commentators lamenting draw with Tigers, Pies, Druggies not going so well after 5 day break.

We got North.
Maybe we should play Essendon and Pies v Tigers either side of Anzac Day short breaks.

Flip side of that is it gives them a bit of confidence before our game.
Also no way we take them lightly now considering Richmond gave us a good game last week.

What the squelch just happened at half time of Pies-Crows?

Noble obviously slipped down to deliberately draw a high contact, but Dawson then clearly caught him 'actually' high, Rankine decides he needs to prove to the world he's a git by running over to shove Noble while he's lying flat, and then Maynard comes in and has some kind of epileptic fit while holding Rankine's collar.

Bizarro juvenile times all round.

You can add Richmond to the list of teams not winning the week after playing us.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
