Taking my wife who doesn’t care about football for the first time to today’s game. She asked me if they will play Country Road on the PA system.

The Manor's computer seems to have a mind of its own Red.

It automatically opens to ..... err "contact sports"... of a somewhat different nature.

They even had the nerve to name one of the companies after yours truly, “Redtube”. I should sue, but I don’t trust lawyers.

I'll be watching the match at The Sporting Globe in Richmond. Anyone else going there?

In my day that was the name of my favourite pink sports newspaper.

I would buy fish and chips on the way home from the game and eat them while reading the fabulous, just printed, pink Sporting Globe.

Ah the wonderful memories.

Not to mention waiting for the late edition of the morning newspaper so you could get the scores if interstate or in the bush

They might if umpires give Charlie a free close to goal, despite the fact he isn’t playing, or even in the State.

I'm feeling a little uneasy about today's game for some reason. Maybe it's all the talk of a 100+ point win which is making me uncomfortable or it could just be caffeine overload, which I can counteract with a bowl of pho and a beer thankfully.

Let's just try and keep the oppo to a low score today and avoid any injuries. Enjoy the day everyone.

I’m adjusting for ‘workman’ like win.
It’ll be heaven and hell at the top of the ladder 👍

For some reason we never seem to put the pedal down when we have a comfortable margin. Maybe just the modern game and not wanting to burn out players, but then there is also the ever important % to consider. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Id like to see Kozzie kick a bag.

when’s the last time a demon scored 10 goals?

Bailey a chance today

Garry Lyon 94 SF v Footscray? Neitz kicked 9 a couple of times I think (and Farmer vs Pies) but no double figures since Gazza.

We've had some big wins, particularly in 2018. I'd like to see a ruthless edge too but if we get a handy early lead, cruise and then pike on a few late ones to win by 40+ I won't complain. Just get the win (no injuries/reports of course) and worry about the rest afterwards.

Farmer kicked 9 in the second half (41 mins to be exact) against the pies in 2000 after being singled out by Daniher for his poor first half

If you played a good game in the u/17 in suburban footy you might even get a mention in the Sporting Globe

Only happened to me once but still remember it 50 years on

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success.
