I can't stand seeing Collingwood keep on winning but I'm not a fan of Richmond either.

However I would like to see the pies get knocked off tonightย

Tonight's game could be a beauty.ย

Great test for the tigers, their young brigade should be fast enough to keep up with the manic style of Collingwood.ย

Whether they are skilled enough?ย

Collywobbles seem to be the benchmark early this season.

Pies will smack them

Talking around 90k tonight.

Living in Nsw, they would not get that for an Nrl grand final.

There's only one real footy game in this great country.

I think that's a big part of the reason Melbourne's the sporting capitol of the world, we have the best football game anywhere๐Ÿ™‚

Who are the actuaries that determine all the afl betting markets like margins....player with first and most goals....most disposals etc?

Would they spend all weekend watching games. Where do you apply?๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Plus a famous horse race, a grand slam tournament and an f1 race. Not too shabby.

gather and finish by bolton outstanding in these conditions

In a perfect world, both teams lose, fold, and cease to exist.

That won't happen, so I will go for the lesser of two evils and barrack for Richmond.

May God have mercy on my soul.

No clash guernsey for Richmond?ย

If there is one player in the league, I would like to add to our team, and I know itโ€™s not going to happen, but it would be Shai Bolton.

probably because there is no clash?

3 posters already for the pies. They should be well ahead

Richmond could well be the 2022 Collingwood of 2023. They just defend really well and stay in games. Was the same against Carlton.

This describes my evening in front of the footy too. It feels wrong to support the Tiges, but bringing the Pies backย  a pegย  would be very, very sweet.

Pies should have at least 3 more goals but for bad kicking. Tiges hanging on by their fingernails i reckon

Holding the ball raffleย

Clear prior and took the player on. What a joke, i'd be fuming if that were a dees player tackling.

I posted on here when Bolton was playing reserves at the beginning of his AFL career that I would love him at the Dees. I copped a fair bit on DL at the time.

Well when it's 10 scoring shots to 1, Collingwood is +25 in disposals, +10 in CPs, +6 marks inside 50 and +5 inside 50s, you'd want to have a good defence because if they don't arrest the momentum the dam wall is going to burst.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
