Geez my prediction on the podcast of Collingwood falling away this year is looking pretty stupid. 🤦‍♂️

Don't worry, we all look stupid right now.

If they can sustain this, which i think they will, Pies will be in a GF unfortunately.

Fantastic game tonight. Hate the Pies but they’ve been great. Howe will be a loss, but they’ll be a contender this year. Their quick and chaotic ball movement doesn’t allow teams to setup defensive structures. It’s why they beat us and is why they’ve taken up to the best teams. Credit to Mcrae for turning them round in a short time and energizing them with this new style. He’s a good coach.

Quick.... ️

As much as Selwood's ducking and looking for free kicks annoyed me, Geelong are showing what his absence means: lack of leadership. He would be doing something right now and not accepting the run of play.

Danger has lost a yard, or maybe he has his flag now and the hunger has gone.

Yep the mistakes he has made has actually been costly. Collingwood have kicked the last 7 & if Selwood was out there he would have settled things down. Geelong are in all sorts out there. Dam those feral pies

Can we get Ratogolea ( spelling?) to replace May?

If he went to Port they would be screwed right now with the injuries they have sustained tonight.

All over folks, think the pies will kick a few more with no more scores for the cats.

Geeze I hope this is the start of the fall for them

Not if you wish physical harm on them

Not even a slightly twisted ankle?? 🤔

But can do it all season long? The hunger will sure drive them.

Everything is relative?  Will Cats wilt. late in every game?  Will Pies keep overrunning fitter sides?

Will be interesting to see as the year unfolds.

Hawkins keeps taking his man close to other contests so his man can run off him and make impact. You’d think he’d learn but he keeps doing it.

Did you seriously downplay the Pies for this season, layz?

Most I know were predicting at least top 4 ... they are probably the most skilled team in the league and are getting better

The Kings Birthday clash will be an absolute ripper.  But who starts favourite?

I’ve heard the flu has gone right through Geelong this week.

I thought that 'flu shots usually come early for aged care residents.

I think the Pies will sneak home tonight

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
