Beating GC in Adelaide a firestarter?

Specially when GC let them live by missing like 5 goals. Had the suns kick straight the game would have been over by 3qtr time.

Well that's a shame.... always next week 🤣

Is Dew their coach and fitness coach? Because it sure seems like it. Ran out of legs in the most embarrassing fashion. This wasn’t even a hard game ffs!

Similar to the Eagles game where Freo pulled await late...except GCS had no injuries, they're just not fit...

We all know whats going to happen to the Suns list. King will move, Lucosius will go back to the Crows or Port. Noah anderson will be rescued by a Victorian club (would be great if we could nab him cos he's a gun). They are just a feeder club at this stage.  And i feel for players like Miller and swallow who've wasted their career battling away at this pointless club. Pull the pin already.

What a shame, today the Suns could have cemented a top 4 pick for us.

Don't matter, we are still fighting for the top 8 pick.

Imagine running out of legs on a ground that is the size of a local Auskick facility. GC are a farce.

on a side note, I reckon we should lobby to play at Norwood next year and rebrand as The Redlegs for the round. A lot of great history between our clubs. Would be great to drum up support from the other Redlegs.

After five rounds?  Yeah, nah.

Well, Freo's fixture will only get harder so.. if they had fallen to 1 - 4  against the "softest" part of their fixture....

It would be Hard to see them wining enough games to not be bottom 6.

Not sure the competition is ready for Viney and Pickett on an oval with a brick wall for a boundary

Went to the game at Norwood, never seen so many missed tackles by a team in my life. The Suns defence was like a knife through butter. FMD.

What did you make of Freo up close?

Average, they have too many bottom end players. I would be surprised if they win more than 10 games.

Their supporters have a high bogan element as well.

Must be the commonality I found with Port Adelaide supporters here, that's all. They were vocal and created a good atmosphere.

I do tend to agree about GC being a feeder club. I’d hope we could land Anderson, but sadly I doubt we’d have the cap space. Pickett offers better polish, and defensive pressure and that isn’t a disservice to Anderson as he is tracking to be AA.

Too many Suns players refused to fight it out. Mabior Chol standing while his opponent ran away from him, after getting the ball while Chol watched,as an example.

Run that game out and they could have won it. Very disappointing.

He was very poor last night. Didn;t contest at all. No second effort. Poor body language waving his hands in the air ala Jesse Hogan. If he was a teammate of mine i would have given him some direct feedback post-game.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
