The issue is next year when his current contract expires. Don't think I can stomach another season of speculation and distraction like we just had with Jackson

Yep I know. But Port will have to use their future picks to secure JHF. Kozzy would demand at least 1 pick in the top 10 and an early second rounder.

Still, hopefully they get Kozzy signed and secured after trade period ends.

Cornes clearly knows something. He wants a long and successful career in the media and he won’t last long in the caper if he’s flat out making stuff up.

There’s no way though that Port can satisfy our trade demands given he’s under contract and we’ll be asking for some serious compo.

If Kozzy is unsettled then we have a heck of a job next year of retaining him after 2023. Our forward line would be so bland and meh without him.

There was a false rumour floated by Clarry's management two years ago that he wanted to go to Carlton. This was purely a negotiating tool in order to boost Oliver's future contract. This could be a similar situation here with Pickett.

Clayton had genuine interest in going to Carlton...

More pragmatism, less emotion...

If Kysaiah leaves. What or whom do we get in return...

If you look at their returns, Butters and Rozee would not get the deal done alone. Seriously. It'd have to be Georgiades *and* Butters.

I’d say he’d last 30 years doing that.

The real danger to his career is if he has to limit himself to facts and avoid click bait. He’ll be replaced in 5 minutes by the next ex player desperate to stay relevant if he did that

  1. Frog's droppings; he admitted that he made it up. Then went on to double-down on 'the rumour'.
  2. Frog's droppings IS the caper.

Its satire big fella.

Ha. Ha.

You bump a thread with some flippant remark and call it satire.

Not funny.

He has a partner? Might be time to make the leap… I know when I moved in with girlfriends it came with very good, mixed, sometimes bad results. I’m sure it will be great, meh, lead to him wanting to leave the state.

Happy for Kossi to go actually. We'll have your F1 this year and next and throw Mitch Georgiades as the steak knifes.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
