(Hunt at that time was an established player who had lost form as a running backman.) It's certainly not a nursery for future talent Fritsch was drafted in 2017 played in 2018 and was dropped from the senior team that played in the 2018 Preliminary Final for Joel Smith. He was allowed to Play in the Casey game because the MFC was still in the finals. Edited September 17, 2022 by Mr Steve 2 Quote

Fritsch was dropped from the Team that played The Eagles in the PF Only Munro and White are playing in the game on Sunday. add Grey to the both games list. No, Grey wasn't playing for Casey in 2018. He was still at st Bede's. I am told by his schoolmate that he won 5 straight GFs at st Bede's plus 6 straight at Beaumaris. Tomorrow will be 12 in 7 completed seasons plus a Herald Sun shield if Casey wins. 1 1 1 Quote

That's if he had not been picked to play Geelong. Is that how it works? Or would he have just reached a required threshold # of games? Seems very confusing 1 Quote

Ok must have been another grey in 2018. Still not many players from only four years ago. Guess if youre any good a team has picked you up and if not you have been moved on. 1 Quote

Call Me What You Will 755 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 And I’ll wend my way up the freeway from the leafy inner east. Hope they accept cash for tickets at the gate. Back to the 70s and 80’s. Go Casey. 3 Quote
Dee Zephyr 19,322 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Looking forward to it. You know your teenagers are ‘institutionalised’ when they ask you to take them to watch Casey. 6 2 Quote
Call Me What You Will 755 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I’m taking my youngest - it will be the closest thing you will get to a time capsule as to how footy used to be prior to the obsessive political correct corporate product served up today. Wasn’t joking about the cash option! Desperately hoping there is no “game day experience” and that the game itself is the experience. Should be great fun. 1 Quote

I go to VFL games on a regular basis, one of the big reasons is the game day experience is the game. Yes more like attending the game of my youth. Enjoy. Edited September 18, 2022 by old dee 1 Quote
